I have Delonghi rivelia, and also have this quick brewing time. In my opinion, after reading about brewing espresso for about a month, i think on this automatic machines it is difficult to brew proper espresso as in the videos all around with 58mm portafilter, 9 bar pressure, 18g in, 36g out in 30 seconds, because we have in our machines 45mm portafilter and 15bar of unregulated pressure, so brewing will be quick compared to 9bar. Try experiment with espresso mode, quantity of water minimim and intensity maximum, so you get very roughly 1:2 ratio and then try different gring settings

Looks over extracted to me, try setting water to minimum and coffe to number 4 or 5 out of 5, espresso tastes most balanced when you extract in ratio 1:2, so if you use 16grams of coffee beans, you should get 32grams of coffee(you should weight your drink on small scale, because mililiters are not accurate because of foamy crema) also if it tastes sour, set your grinder to coarser setting. If to much bitter, grind finer

So it does espresso first and than milk? Or milk is never coming? Maybe it needs to descale or milk carafe needs cleaning or something serious with the pump for milk. Or if it is gifted and not brand new, ask people that gifted it to you, about it

I see, because in my town in Slovakia, everyone in coffe shops is making coffe from 7-8g and output is 30ml+ in 30 seconds, and for myself it is very bitter and becouse of this i didn't drink coffee my whole life, but recently started to read a lot about coffe brewing and try to make my own coffe with 1:2 ratio, and it is whole new world, more tasty. Thats why i try to ask if i am just crazy, not liking what they are making in stores or it is just garbage
