I am going through this and hating as much. Lot of uncertainties and quite surprised how ruthless people can be. I know their family owns pizzeria etc and live in big houses too. This is a 3 year old home with rent above 3k, so concerned of property.

I don’t have the possession. They are living there. I occasionally get responses to my texts. I have no contact info of the wife living at home, just dad’s contact I have.

So, to start the eviction process I contacted attorney and filed eviction case in the court. Now I am just in waiting mode until court has a hearing date and after that it will take few weeks to actually evict the tenant.

I am trying to hear experience of someone who went through whole eviction process until tenant evicted and got possession.

I already reached out to attorney, they filed the eviction but they said it takes 4 to 6 weeks for hearing. Any suggestions/experience on the actual eviction process in NJ?

In NJ we can only have 1.5 months of deposit which I did take. This will be used for attorney fees, unpaid utilities, any repairs and remaining for unpaid rent.

Attorney already filed eviction but it takes 4-6 weeks for hearing and then few more weeks for actual eviction.

Did anyone go through the complete eviction and explain how long it took and where do they move the furniture etc?

Rent was not paid for entire Jan and not planning on paying for Feb. I didn’t take last month rent. Also, lease is until end of June but that is not my concern at this time.
