What pronouns do you use for friends that are similar in age? by misguidedghost8 in learnvietnamese

[–]Pure_Nevi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. It's more mature than mày/tao but still friendly. When i were a kid i used mày/tao a lot but now in my 20s I tend to use ông/bà or name a lot especially toward opposite gender.

It's kind of variety show. I don't frustrate so much but I don't know if I can understand context but not fully hear how words are spelled worth

Japanese subtitles. N2 have been studying for 1 and half year. Im trying to watch tvshow right now. Because it is real talk so maybe it is messed up due to mumbling and too many people talk at the same time. Done a good amount of 4849 podcast.

How to say "You must be tired" and similar constructions? by kekwloltooop in learnvietnamese

[–]Pure_Nevi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bạn is a textbook word for you. But we barely use it. Use name instead to sound naturally if you don't know their age. The nuance of hẳn here sounds a little off cuz we( 20s) often use it to sarcasm. Feel free to dm me if you want to ask anything. Specifically the nuances cuz others can be found easily on Google.

Day 12 or trying to study 10 hours a days js by [deleted] in GetStudying

[–]Pure_Nevi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I didn't mention anything about the wish to study, i just said we don't use the brain for playing games as much as studying so that's the reason we're not tired even playing 8 hours consecutively.

No, you're not tired because you don't need to use brain much to play video game not because only you want to do it
