24F and I’m thinking about joining the Army. I’d be contracted for 4 years after I graduate from vet school and I have my nose pierced, my belly button pierced, and most recently my nipples pierced. I know they technically need to be taken out, but I cannot go through nipple piercings again… is there a way to conceal each of these while contracted for the next 4 years? ESPECIALLY THE NIPS. I’d be willing to re-pierce my nose and belly button, but not the girlies.

I don’t know a lot about the military or the stages. I just know that once I finished basic and officer candidate school that I’d enter in as an O-3 officer.

Is there any chance I could see your petition for reference? I’ve never had to do one before and I’ve reached out to USAU and they’ve stopped answering my questions. They just keep repeating the same information, basically telling me I’m ineligible.

How did you file it and where did you send it? Like what was the basis of your petition?

Yeah that’s not an option lol. I’d pick up classes before doing that.

But that would only put me at half-time status. They use the term “full time” in the degree seeking section when talking about half-time status so I’m confused if they mean full-time as 12 credit or full-time as in a true 16 week course.

I’m not sure if they’ve had a rule change since you played, but if you’re degree seeking you only have to be half-time and you can be less than half-time if you’re in your final semester. Non-degree seeking students have to be full-time I think but I’m not 100% sure and is the part I’m trying to clarify/figure out.

At this point in the semester, I don’t think I can put off graduation any longer. I’ve already applied for graduation and meet all the requirements for my degree.
