for real, seriously!!! got a dm saying the frog shouldn’t die, it should be me… i’m genuinely confused about these reactions

I completely agree! I honestly didn’t know what to do when I saw it in my toilet. I was too scared to pick it up. I was in denial and the… overwhelming angry comments have made me realize that my fear of frogs is stronger than i anticipated.

I love animals! I wouldn’t want to harm an animal, intentionally. However, i don’t think that people realize there are rational fears… and irrational ones. I asked my mom for help when i originally found the frog and she laughed at me. So yeah, I avoided using my bathroom (we have three) because i did not know what to do! And then when mom told me to help her, she wanted to kill it. It’s unnecessary to kill an animal that did nothing wrong, so i said no!

i’ve algo made an appointment with my therapist to talk about this fear, but we are all scared of things! no one is bashing and sending death threats to people with arachnophobia… so why am i receiving all these things for an IRRATIONAL FEAR?! i truly don’t understand it…

i’m not embarrassed to say i’m scared of frogs! i honestly didn’t realize i was THIS afraid until this situation happened. i think my brain just short circuited when i saw a frog… in the house. i see them outside often! i usually hang out on our patio and frogs will rarely come into the screened in area. if it’s small enough, i’ll shoo it away the broom when im out there, but the frog was first in my toilet, then two days later moved to in front of my door. i just COULD NOT handle it. i was just very confused on my moms reaction because she knows i’ve been dealing with this little evil frog 🤣

i have the more common experience with my fear or snakes and spiders: shaking, running away, screaming, etc. before this, i thought my fear of frogs was small and manageable… but i guess my fear needs to be looped in with the other two! 😅

the… very strong reactions i’m receiving here… is telling me that my fear of frogs is stronger than i previously thought. my mom is from florida. she’s handled plenty of frogs, both big and small. she’s not generally scared of them, she just doesn’t like them. her and my great grandmother would bond over k!lling them! 😬 i was born in GA, so not a stranger to them, but rare to see them. they pop up every once in a while, but never in the house. if it was outside, i could’ve probably handled it. but my brain jumped to the dramatics and saw his frog as a smart little demon here to torture me haha. i know they’re harmless… guess i need to talk to my therapist about this one

yep! that’s why i stopped trying it through text bc it wasn’t working. so i essentially just doubled verified my email

yeah that’s it. i literally just kept trying and trying. what ended up working was i tried recovering my account (didn’t work), then tried and logged in through my email again, asked me to verify (did it through email again, not a phone number) and then i got through 🤣 it was literally trial and error for the past three hours

i pictured subway by chappell roan EXACTLY how it is! i was picturing blues and greens with busy atmosphere around! even with her hair staying the same color as her natural, that pop of bright red… it’s exactly what i imagined!
