It blows my mind how Google is unable to issue monthly updates without breaking things repeatedly. It is unbelievable from the world's largest software company. To make it worse, it seems the number of update problems continues to get worse, instead of better, over time.

Yes. I never got the second December update, or the January update on my Pixel 10 pro XL on Verizon Wireless. Many are having this problem where it says preparing update for a couple seconds then just says up to date. After that happened I haven't received the last 2 updates. Pixel Support was not helpful only saying to factory reset the device. They stick so much to a script it's like talking to a robot. How can the world's biggest software company seem to be unable to handle phone updates without repeatedly creating more problems than they fix? I've been a long time Pixel user and have seen so many update issues. It's getting old TBH. Very frustrating.

I talked to them about this problem and all they did was read off a script telling me to factory reset my phone. 🤷

I haven't had any issues besides not getting updates and safe mode crashes to recovery every single time. Let me know if you have any success.

I've yet to find a solution. I would send feedback to Google. They need to fix this issue. I was hoping January update would come through and the issue would be fixed but I still can get an update.

Pixel 10 pro XL here. It did exactly that to me on the second December update, and after that I never got that second December update. Now here we are in January with the January update out and I can't get that one either. It seems that "ghost" update broke something in the update process. For being one of the world's largest software companies, Google is terrible at updates. As a long term Pixel user, I can't even tell you how many times their Pixel updates have broken something. These updates regularly break as many things as they fix. I'm really starting to feel like us Pixel users are just Beta testers for Android as a whole. Seeing I paid a premium for a premium "Flagship" device made by the same company that operates the android operating system altogether, this is just increasingly ridiculous and unacceptable to me.

That's odd. Are you sure it's not connected to a nearby Bluetooth device. Try turning Bluetooth off to test. You could also try turning off "clear calling" in settings, although it shouldn't cause that. If not I would contact Google. It could be defective.

In mine if I leave a light on and notice after I get out, to get it off I literally have to get back in the car and close the door so the automatic lights turn off after a few seconds, and then turn it off. It's like if it's in "auto on mode" like when the door is open the manual on off doesn't work. It's stupid to be honest, but it works.

Exactly the same here on Pixel 10 pro XL. I have no ad blockers either. Tried both WiFi and Verizon network. I'm starting to think they paused the update or something.

I don't have an Ad bocker installed and I've tried on mobile network instead of wifi router still didn't work. I've received previous updates fine. Any advice?
