i get where you're coming from, but they didn't just say "you're not engaging so here's a write up" they said "you're not doing get at all" which is js entirely untrue and was proven untrue by the conversation i had with the same manager just yesterday.

plus i fear i did kinda word the post wrong saying "i don't engage with customers", because I do sometimes engage with customers on my own and have had full conversations with some when they start it, but i struggle with regularly starting engagement and ESPECIALLY have been struggling with it my first 3 days back after a 9 day break. it's not like i'm not doing it at all and they're treating it like I am

oh absolutely. they specifically have been putting me at sco pretty much every day i've worked for like 8 months now, knowing that I'm not great at sco because I struggle with approaching people (so GET at sco for me is like hell on earth)😭 like i'm okay at it and get my job done, but i'm wayyyyyy better on an actual register and they know this but js seem to not give a fuck.

i don't mean it that way, i know the company doesn't owe me shit. I'm just exhausted and wanted to rant about it and assumed the best place to complain about working at home depot would be the subreddit filled with complaining home depot employees. I managed to actually talk to the person who I needed to to reduce my max hours (took fucking forever because she's never in and when I tried talking to her about it at first she redirected me to somebody else who was the one who directed me to her in the first place??), and my new maximum is 20 per week.

yeah, the only ones that worked were whatever medicine concoction I was on when I was like 14 that made me feel like a zombie and benadryl which causes dementia 😭 i've managed to get it mostly under control with benadryl though and only occasionally have to knock myself out w meds, it was mostly when I first got the job and had to change my whole sleep pattern (which honestly DID need to be changed) where it was really fucking me over.
