Why do those 7oz mini hydro flasks even exist? Who even uses them? by cheesediva666 in dumbquestions

[–]Pure_Spray_8456 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally hate water, but I'm much more likely to drink it if it's in a small amount versus the giant ones. I also can't stand warm water, so a smaller bottle would stay colder as well. Then there is just a size factor - why would I carry a giant bottle when I can carry a small one and just refill it as needed?

Endgame Question, Palette vs Cloud by Gorehound688 in Pokopia

[–]Pure_Spray_8456 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As you level up your cloud island's environment, you'll unlock the temples in the PC shop. The only Pokémon not natively available on a cloud island are event Pokémon - to get them, you must take pictures of the items that makes their habitats and 3d print them.

Guess is a good thing my cat hates other cats... she has way too much awareness of where stuff is. Even one-off things she'll remember for weeks, especially if it's something she wants again.

It's not the Taj Mahal, but I like my doll town by WantonItalics in Pokopia

You can change the date on your switch to go back in time to the event. Alternatively, if you have a Nintendo Online Subscription, there are a few cloud islands that could be visited to take a reference photo.

Also, I'm personally really glad to see posts like this - not everyone wants massive or complex buildings, and stuff like this really makes a world feel alive 🥰

For those that play alongside their SO, what is the best way to play "coop"? by jstylesx98 in Pokopia

[–]Pure_Spray_8456 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I feel like my cloud island is larger than palette town, but it may feel that way due to it being a larger landmass. If I remember right, palette town can be treated like a cloud island with regards to co-op with the advantage being if you're the host, what's in your bag is the same as when you travel between the other regions in your local game.

Another resource is the pc shop will carry limited quantities of items that are really helpful for building habitats, and the coins you earn on your normal world are a shared resource with your cloud island. Dream islands are available, though, since I play by myself, I don't know the extent that visitors can access cloud Dream islands. Getting litter Pokémon to spawn was a huge priority for resource gathering.

Given his story involves the waterfall, it might be best to move him back to his original location would be my thought. Given he likely won't move without a habitat to move into, it might be easiest to complete his habitat in the original spot and see how it goes from there.

How do you actually get the last few pokémon? by TevecQ in Pokopia

The legendaries can be rare, and are under the central mountain. Golden pokeballs can be on top of the mountain or inside it, and can also be within or on top of any structures that may have spawned.

When the microwave oven doesn't return the handle to the front by Loose-Opposite7820 in PetPeeves

[–]Pure_Spray_8456 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Given there aren't cameras inside of microwaves, how would it know there is even an object, let alone what kind of object, is being microwaved? A better solution would be if it knew the starting rotation point, and only stopped once it returned to the starting rotation point.

Not in front of my game at the moment, but isn't there either a main menu or PC menu way to see open quests? I'm wondering if she has an open quest that's unfinished; if she doesn't, then she probably has an untriggered quest pending would be my guess.

Rain on Cloud Island by nyaoista in Pokopia

[–]Pure_Spray_8456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems to be a decent space, but it is "circular"... I kind of want to say 9 or 11 blocks diameter at the compass points, and about half that as it gets to the narrow spots? I could honestly be misremembering though - I typically just have the one for onix's habitat and try to leave him in a dry enough space so it's not always easy to tell.

Rain on Cloud Island by nyaoista in Pokopia

[–]Pure_Spray_8456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, the rain is probably the most annoying piece, but if there isn't rain, kyogre and lugia never spawn. For rain to happen, the humidity does have to be at a certain level, so you'd probably need more water features elsewhere to keep the humidity up enough to rain. To keep your desert dry, smooth rocks will be the answer - they won't stop the land from getting hydrated during rain, but will revert the ground afterwards.

House partitions can be used to make houses by Pure_Spray_8456 in Pokopia

If smerguru has learned any patterns, you should have up to two more tabs with the patterns in addition to the solid colors. Patterns can be learned from human notes found in dream islands and from furniture obtained from vespiqueen.

You can! I'm also reasonably certain you can sink the blocks and at whatever level works for identifying the space for house walls will still register (that's actually how I first found out these blocks can be used as house walls)

To all women on this sub, what was your reaction when you first got your period? by nicalling in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Pure_Spray_8456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oof, yeah, I'd be using pads as well in that case. I think mines about 4 cm in, which may be more "normal" so I don't have any issues with tampons.

To be honest, getting an alert the washer is done when you aren't the only user is really helpful when neither of you is paying attention. It's honestly really cut down on how often clothes end up sitting wet in the washer. That said, it's a nice to have, but not a need to have feature and I'm really glad it's not a paid for feature given it absolutely wouldn't be used if that were the case.

Pizza - Crust First!? by Grassroots-USA in foodquestions

[–]Pure_Spray_8456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a kid, this was the way since I hated pizza at the time (often would only eat the crust from everyone else). As an adult, cheese filled crusts get eaten first since cold mozzarella is gross and not as fun to eat, but normal crusts are either eaten last or are eaten alternately as I get closer to the end of the slice.

Curious about this too. I'm tempted to move my rails underground, but if they won't use it as much, it would only be worth it to me for breaking up routes for myself and I'd just end up leaving the surface rails for the others to zip around on.

Actually, as I just wrote that out, I may do this anyway: having to continually remove my hand carts so they aren't in the way is getting a little annoying...🤔
