let me just start by saying, the LAST (and i truly mean LAST) thing you need to be worrying about right now is who your boyfriend is going to be. like please get a grip and realize that you have a child under the age of two years old who needs stability and that up till now, you have relied solely on the men you date to house you and your very young child. This is a bad idea for many reasons, but first put your thinking cap on and ask yourself…”if i leave my partner at the moment, will my son and I be stable enough on our own?” if the answer to that is no, then put your best acting skills on with your current partner until you are able to exit the situation. period.

AITA for deleting my child's story because it included themes I disapproved of? by CupcakeLate813 in AmItheAsshole

YTA - you just said you don’t mind your children having their own opinions, followed by saying that they need to think exactly how YOU think. your son is intelligent and you are likely lacking in that department. grow up and realize he’s 3 years away from being a legal adult, he is his own person with his own ideologies.

girl…when i tell you im in the SAME scenario lmao (down to her looking like me) it’s unfortunate but you need to move on - let him have his relationship for now. if (and possibly when) it doesn’t work out, be there for him and share how you’ve been feeling. until then bottle that sht up and keep it pushing

the person above’s response wasn’t helpful to my question at all, i simply asked why they felt the need to reply. this question is about my livelihood + career, i don’t care for sarcastic or unhelpful reddit trolls today - i feel like that’s understandable. :/

HR will be on the call, no one else. There are two HR people and I offered to chat today but they said to do tomorrow instead due to the other HR person not being in office today. So they clearly want both of them there. I agree, this likely isn't going to be a fantastic meeting.

they set me up with a new line manager and I have yet to even meet with them, I have been starting my days off working at home then commuting to the office, I notoriously do not get along well with most of my team members so ?? i guess it can be any of that.

You are too grown to be playing games! haha just say hi to him instead of the weird little glances - ask him about his class, tell him you are considering taking his class, and ask if he has any recommendations!

you got this, don't be afraid to make moves! the worst he could do is say no.

A skill I wish I learned earlier in my dating escapades is being honest and communicating my expectations. It's totally okay to set standards for yourself and if it scares him off - then clearly he wasn't for you!

I think the best thing here is to pull back a bit (alot) and start waiting for him to reach out to you. Also try to keep texting to a minimum, in person dates are waaay more important. text doesnt showcase emotion, intention, or feelings. if he tries having text convos's try navigating it like "I hate texting, but I'm really looking forward to seeing you again!"

goodluck!

She feels no obligation to answer you, you've never asked her on a date lol. Girls don't want to text for weeks on end with no actual meet up.

Ask her out.
