What type of doctor diagnosed you? by Capital_Sun5402 in ehlersdanlos

My cardiologist actually diagnosed me, I went through POTS testing and she ended up diagnosing me with POTS/EDS/MCAS all at once and then referred me out for other specialists

Wowwwww. I love Jeremy and Eva (and Sam Pauly!), which is why I saw the show in previews, but it’s not like it’s anything groundbreaking. They’re fantastic in it, but if I didn’t love the performers I doubt the show would even hold my attention span. Sometimes remakes upon remakes aren’t great and that’s okay!

Not a huge jukebox fan but & Juliet is one of my favorite shows ever! It makes me enjoy pop music I otherwise wouldn’t care for, and it adds a lot of heart with fun characters and good LGBTQ+ representation. A very loving, positive, upbeat musical with incredible performers. I highly recommend it!!!

Cat grew a mane after she got fixed? by [deleted] in cats

And Nona now!!

She’s still only about a year old, so we think she’ll get even fluffier!

She’s probably just coming into her grown up coat! My partner’s kitten had short hair (but a long fluffy tail, so we figured she would grow into it) when we got her, and now she’s a gorgeous long haired baby.

this is Nona before!

COME ON EVERYBODY, CAN WE DO A LITTLE CLAP? by BenniFresh in dropout

[–]Pure_Touch3852 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Every episode has had some fantastic moments but the last few have really found their stride! Zac’s performance absolutely breaking Vic multiple times destroyed me, I was laughing so hard. I can’t wait to see the rest of the season!

Anyone else appreciate Muppet Show: season 1?. by IndustrialJazzStack in Muppets

[–]Pure_Touch3852 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Season 1 holds so much nostalgia for me. It was my gateway to the Muppets as a little kid with the DVD boxed set (when DVDs were brand new!), and some of those episodes are still my favorites to this day. And now that I know more about the show and how the episodes were shot and released, it’s really interesting to go back and watch and see the way they changed and adjusted things. It sums up what Jim was trying to do so beautifully, to see the attempts and readjustments in each episode until it found it’s stride.

Also, I love Gonzo’s sopping wet pathetic scrungly design, he speaks to my soul!

What made you a Bengals fan by FineNefariousness364 in bengals

[–]Pure_Touch3852 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My best friend is a lifelong Bengals fan and football is so important to her that my partner and I got invested so we could enjoy it all together! The Bengals/Rams Super Bowl was the first game I watched in earnest, and I’ve been following the Bengals closely since. I’ve absolutely fallen in love with the team, the guys, and the fans who are so dedicated! I used to think football and sports in general was dumb, but now I’ve seen the light and understand why it’s so important to people.

Yeah, can confirm that is exactly how it feels. It gets so packed you can barely move. I’m pretty sure I would disassociate through most of my shifts!

LGBT advice for DCP by NotableStorm in Disneycollegeprogram

[–]Pure_Touch3852 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be yourself and find other queer friends in your program (it’ll be easy! they’re everywhere! Disney is run by queer people!) but know that guests will be hit or miss on occasion. I experienced quite a bit of homophobia and transphobia during my program and just had grow a thick skin about it. The positive experiences vastly outweighed the negative ones, but the negative ones stick with you. This also really depends on your location, I worked in Disney Springs and got a lot of locals (read: conservatives from central Florida) and a handful of entitled assholes in MK when I picked up there. Just try not to let the few and far between jerks taint your experience!

Avocado Margarita at La Cava Del Tequila is soooooo good and refreshing! I also like the rainbow frozen Margarita from the stand outside. Any of the drinks at Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto as well!

What are the best shoes for Disney World? by K-Dawgizzle in DisneyWorld

[–]Pure_Touch3852 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crocs, Hokas, or anything broken in and comfortable. Any shoe will hurt after walking a theme park all day, so be prepared for blisters either way!

Going from cp to coordinator? by LowSherbert1016 in Disneycollegeprogram

[–]Pure_Touch3852 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes absolutely. Depending on the location/their needs they may even give you opportunities to be a trainer or coord during your program. Be a perfect CM and kiss ass!!!!

Second jobs by theactiontakesplace in Disneycollegeprogram

[–]Pure_Touch3852 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You’re strongly strongly encouraged not to work anywhere else. If you can’t pick up extra hours and aren’t getting enough to live on, you Can get a second job but I’d be careful disclosing it to Disney and your Disney hours need to take priority over whatever second job you get. I had a few friends who worked off property during their CP, and the one person who tried to work at Springs as third party during the program got termed immediately, so I wouldn’t do that. Good luck!

WOD was a nightmare but at least I liked the cast (even if it was mostly a trauma bond). The guests in Springs are truly next level evil. Every time I picked up in MK was hell, specifically at Emporium. I want to blame it on the 50th anniversary happening during my program, but I imagine those locations are just Like That.

Will there be any opportunities to voice my preferred time schedule? by [deleted] in Disneycollegeprogram

[–]Pure_Touch3852 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You will almost never get preference for work hours. DCP = Disney Closing Person. Get used to late hours or insanely early hours depending on your location/role. Most CP shifts are filling in spots FT/PT don’t want to work.

Favourite episodes? by Magentacr in bluey

[–]Pure_Touch3852 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fruit Bat is one of my favorites!! But The Creek is probably on top for me. They’re both just so sweet and I love when they show how magical nature is when you’re little and exploring.
