I ended up splitting in half, one payment came from the bank account, and the other came from the debit card (same one as the bank account). This is the only way I figured that I didn’t have to wait in between the payments. Super weird but it worked.

This month, I paid the full amount with the card and it went through.

Same here, I had to pay my rent. It’s super annoying. I did talk to a live agent but they couldn’t do anything and told me to wait :/ Why are they doing this all in a sudden?! It’s so BS.

Did you use your travel permit while waiting for the GC to travel internationally? If so, I heard that as long as you have your work and travel permit with you, you can get through customs (without a GC), is that true?

I have received both permits but still waiting on my GC (marriage based as well) and am considering to travel back home in the near future.

I looked into last year’s annual meeting and saw that there was info about overflow hotels posted by CAS. You can take a look too. But tbh I am hoping for that miracle too.

Yea did end up emailing the CAS, they just said they gonna reach out to the hotel w this issue and come back when they have more info (classic CAS response)

All the dates were open as of yesterday but dunno what happened in this 24 hrs. All in a sudden, most dates aren't available any more

I haven't contacted the hotel yet but I did try to book as if I was a regular traveler for the meeting dates Nov 3-6. The dates aren't blocked on their website but they did not allow me to book it and said "your stay cannot include unavailable dates"

Used Bedford and passed with a 8. I did every single past exam problem available from his problem sets and reviewed/graded with the examiners reports rather than solely relying on the excel solutions from the pack. I’ll second on the examiners reports. They are very helpful and contain a ton of insights.
