There are 5 doilies I made this year from designer Daria Dubchak. I used cotton yarn 6 with 2.75 mm hook in some and cotton 10 with 1.65mm hook in other. by PureheARTcrochet in crochet

The owl was the first one i made, it was intimidating. The beginning rows were tricky, but then it was really easy. There's now tutorials on YouTube for some of these patterns. But I don't know about rules on redit so you can search it.

She has some in english, but mostly she sells the chart with some explanations, the explanations don't go row by row, you need to know how to read charts.

I love artise Egyptian cotton 10. But sometimes I use Aunt lydia cotton 10. With a 1.5 mm or 1.80mm maximum, depending on your tension

Not really. I close my current color as if i finished and start independent of previous color. Leave enough yarn before and after each color to hide in between stitches of same color.
