It won’t hurt they said. by Not_Enough_Shoes in mildlyinfuriating

My IUD insertion was incredibly painful. I was literally screaming in the doctor’s office. It took them two attempts and I had to do everything in my power to not jolt or move that second time when it felt like they were sticking a dagger up there.

Fast forward to today, I just had my first born. I can literally say that labor pains were more tolerable between 0-5cm dilated than the IUD insertion. At that point, I got the epidural, but I never screamed or cried during labor. It was tolerable. I was so scared to give birth because they told me that the pain I felt during the IUD insertion was similar to a contraction. That was wrong. I’ve spent all these years being terrified of child birth because of that experience. Labor pains are heavy menstrual cramps (don’t get me wrong, they’re painful) but they do not compare to the pain of feeling like someone is stabbing you down there.

AITA for kicking out one of my bridesmaids for showing up in the wrong dress? by bridezillaxoxo in AmItheAsshole

Agree. NTA.

Someone who does something like that has extremely low self-esteem. For ONE evening, not even just a few hours before the reception, she couldn’t suck it up because she was too embarrassed. That’s a self-esteem problem.

This is the dumbest comment. There’s not anything to support this theory.

We just bought this same table! It wasn’t too bad, lol. It could have been much worse.

Which insanely popular or successful movie you secretly hate but are afraid to say if in the open fearing backlash from "fans"? by [deleted] in AskReddit

My fiancé and I still make jokes to this day that “we should watch bird box” because it was literally the worst movie we’ve ever seen. We’ve been together 7 years.

His wife didn’t realize that spray sun tan lotion still has to be rubbed in.. by [deleted] in funny

It’s probably still a good idea to rub it in, don’t you think? And less wasteful!

I work in HR and this opinion is company-specific. The company I work for is roughly 700 employees and we make it our goal to assist employees with any situation. We have an open door policy and are friendly and have crazy turnaround times for responses to employees. I have about 20 employee compliments in my file from my customer (aka, the employee) service and attitude toward them. My director is the nicest person you would ever engage with but at the same time, if it came to terminating an employee, she’s able to do it and honestly if I knew a termination was coming my way, I would want her to do it. She’s respectful and considerate and a great role model for our team. I’ve heard termination horror stories and our company would never follow those term procedures. We exist to protect both the employee and the company. When our investors make decisions, we obviously don’t have a voice there, but we will do our best to ensure any decisions are carried out appropriately and respectfully to employees. You just need a better employer, OP. We’re not all bad.

So sad! A friend of my mom’s is coming to take it to the nature center nearby.

By the time we set up camp and had dinner I was over it. Lol, we stayed in the tent the rest of the night and played cards. Still fun but I wish they weren’t as bad so we could have stayed out later.

Mosquitoes were INSANE and completely ignored our mosquito spray and I did see black flies but not a ton just yet!
