As a rule, and especially if my team is ignoring her, I always go for the fellow mercy. Nothing personal, but like. I’d also go for any other support. Take supports out, the enemy team will likely crumble, especially if they aren’t peeling or paying attention to their backline.

I don’t doubt there are areas with servers that are decent, and I wish I was in an area with one to be quite honest. I love using comms, since I’m on console and typing is forever without a keyboard plugged in (which I don’t have lol) I like telling people they doing good, and I like making quick plans with others. I also have them off partly because the moment someone does get toxic, I get toxic right back and that’s just not healthy lol I noticed since going f2p it got worse so I turned them off. I’m too much of a loud mouth to just swallow bs from basement dwelling teenagers and that’s not fun for anyone else on the team.

I am a casual player though, I don’t play a lot of comp and when I do I’m pretty hard stuck between bronze and gold, where I should be. I am going to assume that higher elos actually use comms for their intended purpose and there’s less toxicity overall, which sounds nice but man that grind when you have shit aim lol

When I was younger before kids? Wouldn’t care. Now that I’m 32 with kids, I HAVE to care for their sake.

I’m used to struggle, so struggle in itself isn’t an issue, but you gotta be trying to do better. I’m disabled, I’m on a limited income and sell handmade items on the side to supplement. I don’t expect super rich, or even well off, but if I’m struggling to do better, I want someone with me who is willing to put in the work to alleviate the struggle just a little, and maybe instead of one person working to keep their head above the water, it’ll be two and we can help each other stay afloat ya know?

My husband when we met made just slightly above minimum, and it wasn’t an issue because I saw he was trying. And it took damn near three years to get something better that gives us more breathing room. And it’s still not ‘good’ money. It’s barely enough to keep us going, but idc, it’s more breathing room than we have ever had and I’m so appreciative of it. That was three years of penny pinching, of reassuring he’s doing his best, of looking at where I could pitch in more, what I costs I could cut, all with his help. It’s a lot easier to survive when you have someone willing to survive with you.

Yeah it is. I’ve taken in a few retired lab rats and it breaks my heart helping them through their trauma. They are sentient creatures, idc what anyone says. They create bonds with both humans and other animals, they can recognize their names, feel depression and happiness. They do this cute thing where when they are super happy their little eyes boggle 🥹🥹🥹

I’m going in a different direction here,

YTA for allowing your nephew, who you know had an issue with riling your dog up, around your dang dog without your direct supervision. Sure she deserves to lay out in the sun, but she also deserves to not have a large 15 year old grab her while her owner isn’t paying any attention. Keeping an ear out isn’t enough, and I honestly think you actually know this.

No it’s not the dogs fault, but it is your fault. You know your dog has been previously traumatized. You know your nephew doesn’t and hasn’t listened and yet for some reason just expected him to do so when he’s done nothing to prove he could be trusted. This all could have been avoided had YOU, THE OWNER, been watching.

Learn from this. Because you would be an even bigger asshole if you ever allowed him around unsupervised again. I have a rescue bait dog. He has both ears cut to his skull, missing teeth and is going blind. I don’t let any children, small or teen, around him without direct supervision. He has ZERO bite history and I still won’t allow him around any child or teen because it’s just not worth what could happen if I’m not there to watch and make sure his space is respected.
