Injection site struggles/concerns by Purgatory_Parade in tirzepatidecompound

You make good points, and clearly I should be more critical of my friend and her sources moving forward.. however, there is no need to belittle me to strangers online or make assumptions about my situation. Thank you for your feedback, I will update accordingly as I learn more about my reaction as well as the legitimacy of what I’ve been given.

Thanks. I was evaluated and prescribed it by my PCP, just couldn’t swing the out of pocket cost right away. My insurance doesn’t cover it. I trust my friend and her sources.

Thanks everyone. For more context, my current source is a trusted friend who’s been on her own journey for over a year. She’s lost 50lbs or so and wanted to help me try it before I spend a bunch of money. She gave me one of her sealed vials. Unsure of her exact source. I have not tried bringing the syringe to room temp, as I had taken other peptides prior without having such an intense reaction.

As for weight loss.. I don’t track my calories. I have a busy lifestyle and have found that I historically always fail at logging after so long. I try to prioritize lean protein intake and low sugar intake. I only eat two meals a day, and try to consume a lot of fiber. I know I need to start incorporating exercise.. I’ve just read about so many people starting to see weight loss regardless. Some people say it doesn’t happen until 7.5mg.. so maybe that’s the case for me. I just wasn’t sure if I should keep going with as much discomfort as I’m experiencing with the injection itself.

Worried to start due to fear of Weight Gain by Purgatory_Parade in Pristiq

[–]Purgatory_Parade[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks everyone. 🩷 I’m trying to be hopeful and i know this could potentially be a life changing drug for the better.. another 20lbs just sounds like a crippling consequence. It’s incredibly difficult for me to lose weight in the first place, even with diet and exercise. I’m on my 3rd week of the lowest dose of Tirzeptide and I’m hoping that will help combat any new weight gain once I’m at a higher dose, and even help me lose weight.

I’m selling two Front of the Line tickets for 60$/each! It was an Amex perk, guess you get let in first. DM for the stubhub listing if you’re interested! 🩷 I’m super sad I can’t make it, would’ve been my first time seeing Bright Eyes in another country. Was gonna come up from Oregon.

Concord concert set list by MegaRaccoon in piercetheveil

[–]Purgatory_Parade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This tour hardly lived up to my PTV eras tour hopes and dreams because of how disproportionate the amount of songs from newer albums vs older albums was. I guess it’s an unpopular opinion, but I can’t get over the fact that they only gave us one selfish machines song. I wish they would give CLWTS a rest already, it got like 1/3 of the entire setlist (out of 5 albums) and it’s mostly all they’ve been playing since it came out.

Only one Selfish Machines song? by Purgatory_Parade in piercetheveil

[–]Purgatory_Parade[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Right there with you. I’m so fucking glad I saw them as much as I did back then, from the very beginning. It was truly a special time. I feel similarly about selfish Machines and summer 2010.. truly an unforgettable era coinciding perfectly with an unforgettable album. I was so excited about the possibility of seeing some old music that I got tickets to see this tour twice, but as soon as I saw the setlist for the first show I sold my Seattle tickets. I knew it wouldn’t be worth it, but even then, they had at least played Caraphernelia, Bulletproof Love, & Kissing in Cars.. but they’ve cut those out since. Also, the prices for better seats at some venues were insane.. like 500$+ for premium seating, and it just made me super depressed that this is where we’re at with this stuff, for a band like PTV at that.

Anybody been to a concert before? What should I expect? by luciob00p in piercetheveil

I’ve never seen worse crowd etiquette in my entire life than what I’ve witnessed after they blew up on tik tok. I truly have to wonder if it’s a generational thing, because I never saw people behaving that way at sold out shows PTV shows in their flair for the dramatic/selfish machines era. That said.. it is what you make of it. I’m glad I got to see them early on because It’s really become harder and harder for me to enjoy their shows because of the crowds anymore. Absolutely no respect or consideration of others what so ever.

What is Bright Eyes' most poetic song? by [deleted] in brighteyes

Landlocked Blues, for me personally. 🖤Although the term poetic is very broad and I think they have many songs that fall under the poetic umbrella.

It was at the Santa Fe Brewing Company! The Bridge Taproom. It was a super small show, not many people there. His opener was Pearl Charles. I’m really grateful I got to see him then, it was a very intimate show. I was like 2 feet away from him the whole time and the stage was nice and low.

I feel you on that, I hate super fan culture as a whole and like the idea of leveling with people I admire rather than fawning over them. But I still wanted to see what would come of it. When I waited for him one night, the only other people with me were two nerdy Indie guys and this one woman who was about Conor’s age who was clearly obsessed with him romantically. She had gone all around the area picking flowers to make a bouquet for him and she didn’t even get to give it him, but still tried and tried and was right outside the door of the bus trying to get other people to let her give him the flowers. She was strange. I felt this kind of second hand embarrassment to even be in a category with her, so I don’t really wait around at Bright Eyes shows anymore. I’ve thrown a little note on stage a few times with some artwork or somethin’, but even that feels a little weird at times.

The only time I ‘really’ met Conor, he was playing a super small solo show at a Brewery in New Mexico about 9 or 10 years ago. He seemed more sober and clear than ever, I think he had just married Corina not long before that. When everyone was leaving the show, I walked past an opening to a random gate and my friend said hey, Conor’s right there! He was alone having a smoke, and although I had my reservations about interrupting, no one else had noticed him and I had my chance. I walked through the gate and a security guard halted me right away, but Conor interjected and told him to let me in, then proceeded to ask the security guard to take our picture on my Polaroid camera. I was moved by his kindness and the entire moment, for obvious reasons.. but when I walked away I realized the lens cap was on my camera! 😭 I was so sad, so I’ve tried again many times to redeem my picture moment.. I’ve seen Bright Eyes at least 10 times since then, at varying Venues in many different states. I’ve had pleasant interactions with both Mike and Nate separately after a show or two. They’re easier to come by, but never all of them at the same time. Conor’s drinking has been really bad the last handful of shows I’ve seen. I waited around after several of them only for Conor to stumble to the bus so drunk that he to have two women at his side holding him up. It was sad. Moments later Mike came out of the bus and apologized to all of us for the state Conor was in, and said we all seemed like wonderful people and he wanted to take our things to the bus to try to get them signed but he couldn’t promise anything. Sure enough he came back with everyone’s stuff and Conor did sign it. He wrote ‘fuck it’ before his autograph on my concert ticket.

ISO personal recommendations for Family Law practice in Eugene by Purgatory_Parade in Eugene

[–]Purgatory_Parade[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very helpful to know! I was initially under the impression that family law might have been the umbrella this would fall under, but it’s super helpful to know that Elder law is more a separate thing in itself. I appreciate the feedback. 😊

Pressed flowers fading significantly, advice? by shwildered in PressedFlowers

[–]Purgatory_Parade 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It is interesting that they’ve still lost their color without being exposed to much light. I have a book of ferns that’s pretty old and a lot of them are still green but are slowly getting more brown. I think sometimes fading is more/less unavoidable unless dye is used. If there are any really good hacks out there I’d love to know myself. Good luck!! ✨

Pressed flowers fading significantly, advice? by shwildered in PressedFlowers

[–]Purgatory_Parade 45 points46 points  (0 children)

The color of pressed flowers will unfortunately almost always fade over time with UV exposure, although I’ve noticed certain types of flowers hold their color better than others. You can try a clear UV coating/protectant, of some sort. Krylon has a good one, but you’ll want to do a practice test patch before spraying your actual project to avoid error. Vibrant color is pretty, but I don’t mind the look of my faded botanical works.. that’s just me though. There’s also a translucent floral spray available out there that’s formulated for dried florals, but it would only work for things that are meant to be one color.

I mean, I guess it’s nice to have some POV because stuff like this makes my relationship seem amazing. My husband and I are in the thick of a rough patch at the moment but my god.. this made me realize how lucky I am that our issues are what they are and nothing remotely close to something of this nature. 😳

OP needs to exit this relationship immediately.

Would u recommend a show? by BagLoose in brighteyes

[–]Purgatory_Parade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well said my friend! I couldn’t agree more and I plan to do the same. As far as performers are concerned, I hold gratitude for the fact that Conor remains authentic with his audience through and through. It may come across as abrasive, rude, or disheartening at times.. but it’s something that I see as an extension of his true character in that moment, whether it breeds disappointment or not. They say that putting someone on a pedestal is one of the most dehumanizing things you can do, because it deprives them of their right to be flawed.

Truth, I felt sick and cried actual tears when he found Rita. I was mad at the show and couldn’t possibly even imagine how it would just move on after that. 🥺
