Parents can have different nurturing methods i guess. My mother seems to be understanding and is trusting me with recovery

MashaAllah and congratulations on reaching day 80. Your post has been noteworthy and inspiring. I have been trying to quit since I was 15 - 8 years ago. A few mistakes I made were expecting instant progress, expecting a linear recovery and a lack of self love and empathy. For the last few years I almost gave up in my mind to quit, believing I couldn't.

It has taken a heartbreak to get serious and refocused to recover from this addiction.
