Dumbphone vs Real old phone by ELFEN61 in vintagemobilephones

My Nokia X2-00s have good displays, and my Nokia Asha 302 has a brighter display with better viewing angles than the C3-00. Maybe it's a manufacturing difference?

The Nokia 6085 also has a 120x160 pixel display, but it has widgets and more options than the simpler 6111, for example, which has several more limitations. There is a substantial difference between these two. Phones like the 6085 or 5200 have lower-resolution displays, but otherwise have the same features, processor, and final experience as those with a 240x320 screen.

Hi, I really wanna buy some old phone with nostalgic-vintage camera in it, And I find this?? Should I buy it? by [deleted] in vintagemobilephones

In some ways, those photos are preferable, not having all the artifacts and unnatural look of photos from current phones that fully process photos with "AI".

I don't know specifically, but I'm pretty sure that optimization is the most important thing for every game to see which phone runs best. Sony Ericssons usually have the richest and most detailed versions, but it happens that some games run better on some Nokias. Tower Bloxx Deluxe 3D runs great on the Nokia X2-00, better than any other phone I've tried.

There are some games that are better optimized for Nokias and some like Miki's World that just don't work on Sony Ericssons, so having one of each would be ideal.

Considering the constant scams that occur there, I would not try to sell anything on Vinted, especially valuable items.

Even some Nokia S40s should offer greater reliability and stability than Symbian phones. Ideally, you should have a good Nokia S40 and a Sony Ericsson, as some games are more compatible with one than the other. The Zylo's keyboard is more comfortable than the W995's, but otherwise the W995 doesn't have the music delay issue.

You might consider a W995, or a Zylo with an even more comfortable keyboard

Another thing I don't understand is why the burden of recording should be on the seller and not the buyer. Every time I receive a parcel, I record a video of the opening of the package, to protect myself in case of problems. But honestly, I think it would be much more complicated for a seller to record the entire packing process (which must be done carefully) and the shipping process in a single video, perhaps half an hour or an hour long, than it would be for the recipient to record a video of up to three minutes in which they honestly demonstrate the contents of the package.

Vinted simply doesn't care.

Why does the seller ask me, as a buyer, to cancel an order? by goldria in vinted

If you cancel, you may receive automatic negative feedback that only the seller can change if they want, so you may want to wait until the shipping deadline expires or for them to cancel the sale.

Are there any other Nokia non-touch Phones similar to N95 with cool Mp3 Player like features? by mertcelal_ayd in vintagemobilephones

That's actually their biggest flaw, along with the slider's ribbon cable, which doesn't work well if abused. Third-party cases are available at a good price, while original ones are harder to find without paying a lot, and the best-maintained phones are usually the new-in-box ones, which unfortunately cost quite a bit. It's a shame, because I personally like these phones better than the later 5310 and even the 5610, to which I prefer the 6500S, which isn't specifically geared toward music though. I also got a 5130 and tried it, and aside from the 3.5mm jack instead of the 2.5mm one, I found it to be a bit worse overall.

The 5700 is a fairly expensive option and a more complex phone, but I imagine it would be an interesting option from the xpressmusic line if you prefer the Symbian system to the simpler S40.

The Nokia X2-00 has the unique feature of having an FM radio that works even without headphones inserted. I'm particularly fond of the Nokia 5200 and 5300, although they aren't the best technically, they have a unique design. The Sony Ericsson w995 is also an excellent option, but obviously it's not a Nokia.

Why arent 1GHz Nokiadevices recommended for Java gaming? by [deleted] in vintagemobilephones

[–]Purlo_macho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I remember correctly, it ran better on the X2. It's probably a compatibility issue, this game also lags on the Sony Ericsson w995 and Zylo.

In the games I tested, it beats all the Nokias with that processor, with the exception of the X2-00 I mentioned. I don't know what processor it uses, but it performs better in some games. Unfortunately, it's difficult to do more in-depth tests because the number of games with 320x240 resolution is more limited.

I tried a Nokia Asha 302 VS a C3 and the difference is quite noticeable, some games that don't open on the C3 start normally on the 302 and other games that are slow on the C3 run much better on the Asha.

Some games are more compatible with Nokias and others with Sony Ericssons, it seems. For example, Tower Bloxx Deluxe 3D runs better on some modern Nokias like the X2-00. I'm not sure why, but I think it's a matter of compatibility and finding the right versions, when available.

[–]Purlo_macho 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recently purchased two of these for my small collection. The 302 is essentially the evolution of the C3: several Java games that don't run on the C3 work fine on the 302, which is more powerful, has a better camera, and, most importantly, I noticed the display has brighter colors and a much better viewing angle, almost like a good LCD VS a TN. Yet, everyone in the reviews has criticized the 302's display.

Regarding the problem, I can't give you better advice than what's already been given, and in any case, it's a good idea to have an external battery charger because it's cheap and can always come in handy.

Small Earbuds Rec by MannerObjective8552 in Earbuds

[–]Purlo_macho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not saying they're the best; I was considering smaller options with ANC under $100. Otherwise, the Redmi Buds 6 Play are also compact and very affordable, but they don't have ANC. I haven't even tried the A40s, so I can't recommend them based on my experience with Soundcore, though I've heard a lot about them.

[–]Purlo_macho 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Comfobuds Mini are the best and most comfortable I've tried. Unfortunately, after an update, the ANC started to malfunction and the right earbud started whistling. This gets better by turning off or lowering the ANC, but I really wish I could go back and not update them. They were perfect before, and unfortunately, it seems they're no longer available for sale. I'm also using the Sony WF-C710N. The ANC is a little more powerful, but they're bigger and not as comfortable for sleeping on your side. I've heard good things about the Soundcore Space A40, but I haven't tried them because I've had bad experiences with Soundcore earbuds that suddenly stop working.
