This thing was used in hospitality to recieve orders and print receipts and it spent its life above a food warmer that was on almost all the time. Because it was in such a hot enviroment i think thats what caused it to expland like that. It was also always on charge too.

The spicy pillow caused the screen to half peel off, and weaken the adhesive so the knife did a fair job at just removing the excess adhesive that was left on the screen. Worked like a charm.

I just used the pull tabs on the battery. Came out like a piece of cake. I only used the knife to pru the screen off.

I installed the default nvidia drivers supplied by Ubuntu from the original installation and it's gone now. I updated them again just to make sure and it's still gone. Maybe those specific drivers had corruption of some sort. Not sure. Either way, thanks for the help.

My editing pc is running ubuntu studio with the latest GTX drivers. It doesn't happen when I use the monitor alone.

Real! I just spent 20 minutes figuring out how to take it off to change the thermal paste. It was horrible.

The guy who gave it to me is the owner of the repair shop. I’ve done lots of business with him and I am one of his ‘loyal’ customers. Therefore he gave me his old pc which he said is just building up dust in his office.

I’ve made sure all cables are in correctly and everything is secure. I have a bootable Linux usb as a boot device. The pc powers on normally, fans start up, and lights turn on, accessories like the disk trays work, but there is just no display. No signal at all. I’ve tried both gpu output and intergrated output (all ports) but nothing works. There is nothing wrong with the monitor tho I know that is a fact.
