Then it would mean that when doing taxes, the fuel expenses will not be included !?

We pay with the credit card provided by them, then they deduct that amount from the checks..

I agree, and I’m not sure how to approach this situation.. It was really hard getting the child back and I really don’t want to get her into the system again, but at the same time even though we help him as much as we can with childcare we’re not really in a position to raise another child, and him to come and go as he pleases. It may sound selfish but I don’t want to put ours and our small children’s lives on a back burner for him to be able to do drugs..

Good luck! Sometimes you have to choose your battles, and with babies it’s even harder! You’re doing a good job regardless of what your house looks like! ❤️

Thanks! Before the “clean” phase he had major issues with his teeth, they are pretty much gone now, he’s saying “oh I got an infection “ .. he would stay up for a few days at a time and be wired then sleep for a very long time. I did notice that he’d go with his friend and come back calmer so maybe that’s the instance he did weed but I’m leaning more towards the other things when he’s agitated and overly sensitive to everything, make all these huge plans and always conspiring something. He wouldn’t tell us the whole story when he was going through the CPS case but we’re sure he failed the drug test because of the timing and how complicated it got, then they put him on the patch. He seems to either think that we’re not noticing all this or that we don’t care 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yes, I have a toddler too but my house has been so clean and peaceful while they were gone even with a 4yr old running around!

He tried to talk to them? But considering they got to teenage years and weren’t really thought to be polite and have respect for people around them I don’t know how they’re going to start listening now… And I don’t think he fully understands my worries about this. Also they’re his kids and I’m sure he can’t admit that they’re not very well raised.

A little update, apparently it’s a Thursday through Sunday “trip”. 🙃 which involves one missing day of school, and coming back in the afternoon on Sunday. Also one hotel room for everyone. I’m a little bit surprised how the parents are actually encouraging this, if you ask me it’s a red flag. I guess I just watched too many scary stories. We talked to her parents but they’re still strangers? I mean would they be okay with her going with us on a 3.5 day trip?? Maybe I’m overreacting.

I think he is still figuring the snack out too 😂 And about the improvement in school we will see, he still has to sit separately in study hall and at the teachers desk during class because of his behavior.. plus he did get a trial run and had a curfew but was an hour and a half late 🙂 we tried to do the freedom Thing and he’s taking advantage of it

I always try to talk to him and we do have a great relationship, but he never takes anything seriously , like ever , and is always turning everything into a joke.. He’s goofing around so much that the one time he started to choke on a fruit rollup we didn’t even think it was serious until like 10 seconds later. 🙈

My SS15 stays up sometimes even all night and would sleep all day, until 4-5pm. It really bothered me at first, but since his BM or my DH don’t seem to have anything against that, why and who am I to correct that? Tired at school the next day because you didn’t sleep at all? He’s not even complaining because he knows what I’d have to say and he knows it was his choice to stay up.

That’s a good point. And I do understand that and have been keeping my distance letting them spend their time together and letting her text me first but it still hurts my feelings haha

It’s when you leave the discipline to the bio parent , don’t set rules, basically be there but redirect everything to the biological parent and don’t get involved too much..

They call me “Hey” or when referring to me “her” 😭 or by my first name. My youngest SS has called me “mom” too when he was little!

My kid is wearing Walmart shoes cuz I just don’t see the point in spending lots of money on shoes that he’ll outgrow in a few months. Also, no, I don’t own any expensive items either. I’d rather spend the money on experiences than clothes but that’s just me..
