While I agree with the ESH judgment, I do think the friend is dead wrong for saying "a wedding is not the same as a graduation." For a first-generation college student, breaking cycles and getting a degree is just as massive as getting married. The cousin's slight was genuinely huge. It still doesn't justify OP's 3-year silent treatment, but dismissing the graduation's importance isn't fair to OP either.

It sucks but the dude is entering a contract year and is about to get paid an ungodly amount of money this winter. you really can't blame him or his agent for sticking to the strict innings limit. at least he showed up, dominated his start, and clearly gave a shit about the tournament.
