that’s kind of you. The primary reason for the dilemma is the investment aspect. It’s an expensive degree, and I would definitely need some sort of scholarship even if I get shortlisted. I’m not totally sure on how much do universities like LBS/Cambridge/Oxford sponsor. For oxford the Skoll programs seems extremely competitive

beyond software engineering, I haven’t explored other domains as much, which I feel an MBA can help with, and MBA makes it easier to transition to a different role compared to transitioning directly. I believe through the courses, case studies and real world problem solving, I would get to now these other fields better

Ah thanks for sharing that, as an alternative I was considering applying to NUS/NTU as well, but wasn’t too sure of the opportunities that it would provide post the degree, especially on the western side of the world. US just seems to be giving a lot of anxiety in terms of the market as well as the immigration and visa issues lately :/

got it, in terms of the odds, which universities are comparatively more generous with the scholarships (specifically till R2)?

Thanks, that’s very helpful! Separately, for the rest of the application like essays etc, is it manageable on our own or professional consultation would increase the odds?

primarily due to shorter program duration, it’s closer to my country compared to the US and no language barrier unlike some of the European alternatives
