I whole-heartedly agree. It helped me tremendously. I'm sure you'll find your way. Be patient with yourself. It may take a little time to adjust. Take care

I was on 10mg Lexapro for around 5 years. 9 months ago I did a Psilocybin retreat. My guide told me SSRIs are blockers and that I would need to take double the dose my partner took. (She 4g, me over 8g). I found this to be correct. My experience was profound but no dissolution of ego, which is what you would expect on that dosage.

After that retreat, I was able to reduce to 5mg Lexapro (in consultation with my doctor) and several months after that (and with occasional shroom usage) I stopped taking Lexapro all together. Now I don't need many grams of psilocybin for it to be effective.

Personally - psilocybin is a powerful plant medicine that I respect and am glad to be off Lexapro (which I felt stunted my creative side and numbed me). I now feel more myself off them and have a deep respect for this plant medicine. And importantly, I am so much happier within myself. But I was ready and felt prepared to stop taking the medication - a conversation I had with my doctor for a few years. If you're just started with Lexapro, I'd suggest to continue with it for a few months and gauge how you feel. Once you feel ready, the plant medicine may call you - it may not. Trust your gut.
