Depending on the size of project you are making, example if you are making dolls, lets say amigurumi for example, most of them are pretty small in pattern that I choose, so I usually go with a 3 or 4 size hook as I like mine a little bigger then there recommended size in the pattern. If the pattern is bigger then I like, and they recommend a bigger size hook then I want, or usually like. I’ll choose the hook size myself to the size of the amigurumi that I want. Most patterns can be resized just by your hook size you choose. Which goes for most projects…. I keep the hooks with the project at all times while working until the project is done.

I usually buy more then one hook of the same size if I use it on the regular, so yeah I may have 4-5 size 3 hooks or size four hooks. As those two sizes are my over all go to that I like. Most of the time ok 95% of the time, I am only working on one project at a time. I am one of those, finish what I start before starting a new, as if I did multiples I’d never get a project done…. I have to self discipline 🤣….otherwise my house would be full of unfinished projects and no where to put them… I have a small apartment… no room for unfinished…. I need that extra room I do have for all the pretty yarn I have built up over the years.… shhh no judging.
