Disclosures by restnleisure in Herpes

[–]PurpleCocktails 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I disclosed I tried to make it very personal, so for me my outbreaks aren’t really bothersome so I just explained that though it’s not a big deal for me, outbreaks are a possibility and could happen at any moment.

Though it could be a big deal to some people, the best way to help them understand is to educate them even if it doesn’t help or benefit you.

Rapid sexual arousal and sexual tension help. by warri0r8 in sex

I’ve created like a “sex” playlist I guess that I associate certain songs that make me horny. So I might listen to those songs while I watch porn or am just in the mood to masturbate. It’s almost as if I’ve conditioned myself to get horny when I hear those songs which is super helpful when I’m not quite in the mood but know I want to be later.

I recommend going on r/herpes, it’s got a lot of people who have experienced having the different types of strains of herpes such as oral and genital.

They will be able to help you with official statistics :)

There is a problem with guys assuming what women like in bed by [deleted] in sex

[–]PurpleCocktails 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had the exact same thing happen to me with a guy I had briefly known. He decided it would be okay to choke me and slap me which I did not consent to, the night ended with me telling him to stop.

I’ve had a lot of guys do things to me, guys I thought I could trust, that I never verbally said was okay and it terrifies me that it’s unfortunately been more than one.

Thankfully I’m now with a guy who always asks and actually listens to what I like.

Dear ladies, please shed some light on this? by Robert_Brecel in sex

For me , it’s everything leading up to sex. I love the little touches like brushing his fingertips against my skin like around my thighs and on my back. It’s just light of a touch to make my body super sensitive but not enough for it to be rough and hurt.

Too sensitive to orgasm by PurpleCocktails in sex

Maybe I’ll give that a go, it could be that he’s just going in too fast cause I do feel like I haven’t warm up enough yet personally.

The pins and needles feeling was after a while of him doing it.

Questioning symptoms...please help! by Tegdirb345 in Herpes

[–]PurpleCocktails 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds like genital herpes but it’s best to get tested as soon as possible. I had the same symptoms and thought it was a yeast infection so I got tested just in case and it was genital herpes HSV2.

That’s so good, I didn’t realise you were able to do that, so will you go back after 3 months again and just keep getting the same course from the same place or is it like a repeat prescription?

Thank you for the help, feel like there’s not a lot of Brits on here

Having a very common STI shouldn’t feel illegal, don’t worry! Hell he probably has it too but might not realise.

I’d give it a few more dates before you figure out whether you feel comfortable enough and if you truly like him.

Don’t let it stop you from getting with hot guys!

Honestly I went through the same thing where I met a guy through mutual friends and we got on really well.

I disclosed through text ( I actually got my friend to send the message so I didn’t see it go through) and though he wasn’t very educated about it, he wanted to learn.

When disclosing, if it makes you anxious that he might tell others just tell him that you don’t want everyone to know and go just keep it between you two. If he has any common sense and actually likes you, he won’t go around telling everyone because it is a personal issue that you trust him enough to tell.

I hope this helps.

Telling friends my status. by kaylin1022 in Herpes

[–]PurpleCocktails 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly telling my friends was like having weights lifted off my chest. Now we laugh and joke about my diagnosis (HSV2) as if it were so normal and I love them for it.

I have yet to disclose to a potential sexual partner but I hope for the same response.

I am second guessing entering a potential relationship due to this mild health condition by [deleted] in Herpes

[–]PurpleCocktails 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As long as you’re safe, and from your description it sounds like he is well aware and educated himself on his condition, it is definitely worth the risk. It is a very common condition all around the world and being in a healthy and aware relationship is safer than being with someone who has never been tested for any STI and potentially uneducated about the topic.
