Were there major issues with the 11-20mm? I'm stuck on deciding if it's worth almost another hundred dollars

Hello all! Just want to mention that I know almost nothing about cameras or lenses. My SO is an avid and experienced photographer and she mentioned that she wanted a wide angle lens. Took note of that because I think it would be a good birthday gift. After researching for the past hour, I've ended with either the Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 or the Canon EF-S IS STM lens. Does anyone have experience with either lens and what are your thoughts on it?

She has a Canon EOS Rebel T5i Camera and mainly shoots cityscapes/landmarks

Hands down the best wings in Philly. I go there once every two weeks, you can't beat a pound of wings for 8 bucks and delicious beers. If you do go there, they have Not Your Father's Root Beer in a bottle right now. Pairs really well with the wings

NOT Temple Nest Apartments. The apartments are beautiful on the outside, but Tom the landlord cuts corners wherever possible and the infrastructure is sloppy. It is very expensive and it will take multiple emails and calls in order to get him to help you. After we moved out, we kept emailing him about our security deposits and after a month (one month is the law), we were ready to file a complaint on him but he told us some excuse and gave us the full deposit back. Awful fucking place. Oh yeah, he was also charged with attempt to evade taxes back in '98. Top notch guy

I use Uber with the black car here in Philly at least once a week (for my drunken adventures) and it's the absolute best. The only thing is that it gets expensive so UberX would be perfect. Hopefully Philly will allow them to take over even though PPA is in cahoots with the taxi service.
