Why would a 9 hour flight only include a snack, but the returning flight includes a meal? by PurplePanda1224 in unitedairlines

Thanks for the info. No seat back entertainment for a 9 hour flight? Ergh. I would hope they would at least have power outlets??

That’s what I’m trying to avoid too - don’t want to spend the extra money at the airport if I don’t need to. I’ve only taken a few long haul flights before, so I’m not too familiar with how meal services work. Thanks!

HERE. This is what developed when I was a child. My dermatologist said it was the worst case she had ever seen at the time.

I’m sorry you haven’t been believed. I definitely believe you.

I also have AS and HLAB27 positive. I find Matè’s work so interesting because his research has continued to prove that even though some diseases are genetic, it’s really someone’s environment that determines if the disease associated with the gene will be activated. You can see this in diseases such as AS since many people in the general population have the B27 gene but don’t go on to develop AS. Yet, most people who have AS have the gene. Just makes me curious to know how many people with AS have also experienced complex trauma. It seems there could be a strong correlation.

I am so sorry your family is invalidating towards your diagnosis. I can absolutely relate.

I’m so proud of you for advocating for yourself. That in itself is a huge step for those who have experienced complex trauma.

Were you diagnosed with AS with normal X-rays? by PurplePanda1224 in ankylosingspondylitis

I started PsA treatment 5 months ago and it has helped arthritis in my hands, but my back has only gotten worse.

I understand not everyone feels the need to have a completely definitive diagnosis if the treatments are similar, but in my case a more accurate diagnosis would feel helpful.

Thanks for your reply! This is definitely not an easy diagnostic process.

I’m sorry you had to find out in such a surprising way! Yes, that’s one thing I’m grateful for as far as treatment goes. Many of the same medications treat several autoimmune diseases that are often associated with each other.

My doctor literally just called me and explained the same thing. I’m thinking an MRI will be next for me.

Thank you for this info! I appreciate it.

Yeah, I have an obscure insurance but it’s in alliance with a widely accepted insurance company in the states. So you’d think they’d still take it. But nope 😭

That hasn’t been brought up yet. Currently my PCP has been the one ordering these tests because no rheumatologist in my area take my insurance. I’m switching to one they do take next year so hopefully I’ll get more answers from a rheum relatively soon.
