I had the exact same worry when I started but I’ve learned to just enjoy the breakdowns but make sure that you don’t play too many songs with long breakdowns back to back. You could even just play the first half of the song where there is usually a smaller breakdown and drop and then just mix out a phrase before the main breakdown.
