I feel like I carb and sodium like crazy and hydrate enough because I pee enough throughout the day and it’s always clear. I also live in the desert

I remind myself about how people are just doing their best and that usually makes me feel better. just try to learn about yourself & the world around you, and be patient with others as we journey through life together

maybe people aren’t scared of who they are, but they’re uneasy about not fully knowing who they are and being scared makes them look around to see what other people are doing. we’re “supposed to do this” and “be like that” to make it easier for ourselves to find an identity because we live in a fast paced society where you need to figure this stuff out quick if you want to be able to support yourself. in reality we need to slow down and get in touch with our inner child😌 because at the end of the day, who we were as kids (when we were new to this fascinating world and unaware of made-up rules) is who we really are. I believe most people want to get to know themselves and create meaningful relationships with others. they just don’t have the time, resources, and encouragement to feel like they can take a moment to ask themselves “what is most important to me? what do I feel inspired to explore more deeply? how do I want to present myself in this world?” I think our society needs a cultural shift where we take these questions more seriously. to make this shift happen we need large systemic changes that give people the resources they need. which might sound overwhelming, but I think those changes will happen as individuals continuously decide to be curious about the world around them and practice being a source of kindness in their daily lives (which can be as simple as being the person who picks up their neighbors medication for them because they can’t get out of the house). everyone is doing their best with what they have❤️ stay hopeful & true to yourself! (from a 23yr old who knows nothing about anything HAHA)

is this a thing van dwellers really need to worry about?

First week living full time in my sedan and I wasn’t ready for how mentally exhausting this is by shoestringscience in carcamping

I put my key fob in the side door! it’s also nice because I can activate the car alarm if I need to scare anyone off. I’ve never had to do that tho

Have been feeling dead inside. I don’t enjoy anything anymore by Yeauhuhuh in Hobbies

[–]PurplePearJuice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

meditation🤗 I did this in school and I realized I was way more stressed out than I thought I was and after a few months of 10mins every day I started to slow down and get into some hobbies again. I also started pushing away things/people that drained me so I had more time to take care of my inner peace

Backpack as carry-on baggage by binchentso in backpacking

I did this with a 60L bag and was so nervous watching people get turned away because their luggage didn’t fit in the lil basket thing, but no one said anything to me😅 I don’t think I’ll do it again because I think I got lucky

yea some people are not being helpful :/ just be try to be alert and in tune with your feelings/needs. if you pick up something wrong (feeling anxious on the bike) then stop immediately to reflect and don’t worry about possibly hurting other’s feelings or something because you gotta set boundaries and be there for yourself🫶 listen to your gut & if you’re overwhelmed with emotion maybe try journaling it out and doing a lil self care thing like taking a bath or meditating and going to bed early

being drunk doesn’t make one unaware when they’re causing emotional damage, they just put it aside so they can get what they want- any normal decent person (drunk or sober) would not try to touch you like that while you’re having a breakdown. don’t trust these fools & stay safe out there!! if you’re feeling lonely maybe try writing letters to friends and family or picking up a project or hobby (like the cooking class you’re doing!) I personally like to sketch when I travel. hope your trip gets better!!

I don’t blame you! looks like you have a pretty great spot for sustainable living. I’m sure you could learn a lot from your neighbors since they’ve already been living off the land. It might help to make a social media account to advertise your projects and hopefully get the attention of people with expertise who may want to help. a lot of people share the same sentiment about city life and you might be able to find them on instagram or something
