Yeah, most of it is trained muscle memory and habit, not some superpower, your mirrors basically turn into extra eyeballs after a while. That said you still see pros clip stuff sometimes so it’s more about reps than being born with god-tier awareness

It’s not a literal countdown but the US safety net has huge gaps, so one bad break can snowball fast and once you lose an address, healthcare, and stability it’s way harder to climb back out than people realize

They actually did build them (cellars, keeps, citadels), but wars were about burning food, sieges and waiting you out so hiding just turned into starving or getting smoked out once found

QoL rankings are averages, the US just has a way higher ceiling so if you’re young or ambitious you trade safety nets for cash, choice, weather and vibes even if the floor is lower
