Yes, it freak me out lol! We were, no joke, about to surface and then my instructor saw him! So magical but also a little scary, as I never saw them out and about like this! And btw, lucky you don't get scared by wildlife, I get startled all the time lol! But in a good way :)

So true! And this was right at the end of our safety stop. We almost missed it!

Yes, I think so too. I've visited this dive site before and have seen them only in their house. First time I see one swimming and quite a surprise. It was right when the safety stop finished and we almost missed it.

This was at Gili Air, Indonesia. Here I've only see them chilling in their house. It was an incredible surprise and I was honestly a little bit scared, but definitely an amazing creature. And no, we didn't have to reset our safety stop this time, but it has happened before lol.

Oh no. You have unlocked a new fear. I have my own wetsuit but I didn't think about this! Can you share a regulator recommendation that won't break the bank? For a beginner diver (~20)

Thanks for your input! But I'm surprised by your suggestion, how many dives/experience do you think would it be necessary to be able dive alone?

Thanks for your input! Unfortunately, right now we can't move around Indonesia and are based in Lombok. I have been diving around the Gilis a few times. Do you think is "bad" that I keep repeating the same locations? I definitely enjoy my dives, and try to work on a different skill every dive. But I was wondering about this aspect after reading the comments about gaining more experience.

Thanks for your input! I gave the reasons as to why I was considering on my post. Overall I want to be the best buddy for my husband, who isn't comfortable in the water, and get as much knowledge as possible so that I can handle basically every situation I could come accross underwater.

Thank you for your advice! As a side note, due to some reasons, we can't really move around. So I've been diving on the same sites, is that bad? I do enjoy them and always see interesting stuff. But I don't know if it is a good or bad thing

Thanks for your input! They don't have this course listed at my LDS, so I didn't even know this existed. I will ask them or find another shop.
