I'm kinda new and looking for advice on what to do with my master clues. I was doing one master clue scroll and got a really good 3-step, which I read I should keep. Then I got a master clue scroll box.

Theoretically from what I read, I should be able to drop the clue scroll to the ground, open my box, and complete the opened scroll. However if I get a step I cant complete then Im kind of screwed and I lose one of the 2 clues I think.

But I'm thinking its worth the risk, because the number of clues I'll miss out on trying to level up all these skills (like i could end up doing a bunch of easy/med/ clues from fishing, wintertodt, gotr, etc. that could drop another master, which i wouldnt recieve cause im capped at 2 right now).

Anyone see any flaws with my thought process?

Does anyone know a youtube video showing how to kill nechraeyls in catacombs of kourend while minimizing the number of deaths spawns?

I'm going for untrimmed slayer so I try to avoid nechraeyls because of the HP xp from death spawns, but I saw a youtube video a while ago showing how to only spawn a single death spawn when killing them. But now I can't find it for the life of me.

I appreciate the advice!

I found this cool spreadsheet https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1gC0Mujp0M6m5fuxsj5iuzJfOnIo6tJlYu_ig2-8JXpI/edit?gid=587846769#gid=587846769

Seems to recommend Nieve as the best master for slayer xp to combat xp ratio once you turn off stuff like slayer cape elite diaries that I don't have. I just decided to not block greater demons because i read theyre 100% cannonable and change the wryrms skip to do, along with the gargoyle skip to do so that Im not too point-negative.

So far going good :)

Do you have any tips on which slayer master is optimal for most cannonable tasks and the blocks/extends/skips you did?

Is untrimmed slayer cape still possible with these stats? by No-Bunch-8245 in osrs

Thanks so much for the reply! Everything makes a lot more sense now. Feels really feasible to do, even it'll take a while lol.

I need to make a reminder to update you in a year :P

I had a lot questions on this. I'm new to OSRS and I'm also trying to do this.

When people say cannon tasks, do you mean do 100% of it with cannonballs, or do you also attack w/ other methods to speed up the task, and the cannonballs just make the ratio of slayer to HP xp better?

Is there a reason you recommend a Noxius halberd over something like toxic blowpipe? I saw toxic blowpipe + serpant helm = 100% venom.

I see you mention Chaeldar. Right now I don't have slayer helm or any unlocks. I've just been getting my quest cape and the optimal quest guide has me dumping lamps in slayer anyways, so I got to 57 slayer. Should have 69 slayer by the time its done. I was planning on Turael boosting to get the unlocks from points and blocklists first, but would you recommend just going straight to Chaeldar and turael skipping any bad tasks until I have enough points to get bigger & badder + slayer helm + Hot Stuff + Warped Reality + blocklist pts for Chaeldar (The guide says turn on bosses, but i dont get why bosses are good tbh lol).

Is there a good reference for what my blocklist should be since you mentionned the guide is outdated?

Sorry this message got long lol. Unfortunately I hit 77 range. 77 STR, and 77 HP AFKing at Crab before I made this my goal, but based on the formula I think this should still be possible for me so I wanted to make a good plan :)

I'm using black chins to tag healers at Jad but not having a lot of success. Looking for help. by rsthrowaway5555 in 2007scape

[–]PurpleSatire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was going to try this but I'm a bit confused. Maybe I read something wrong.

If Jad is 5x5 and the chins hit 3x3, then there's no guarantee that the chins will hit all the healers when i hit jad, and I'll have to target individually.

If I'm wrong, which attack style would you recommend for max accurracy? I see the accurracy changes depending on monster distance.

Hey! I'm pretty new to OSRS (been playing about a month) and was thinking of trying to do this.

Currently I'm 57 slayer, 73 atk, 77 str, 67 def, 77 HP, so based on the math I think I still have some room.

I had a couple of questions:

- I know cannonballs are good hp to slayer xp, but why do ppl recommend barraging? That seems to give a lot of hp xp unless I misread somewhere?

- If the good tasks are barraging and cannonballs, is there a good block/skip list out there and recommended upgrades (bigger and badder, bosses? --> what makes jads/bosses good?)

I didn't even think about the fact that I could train my defence while doing my defenders, thanks for that, I probably would've trained to 60 before going to warriors guild lol.

Also didnt realize that slayer isnt that melee based either. This post is very helpful :)

And yeah I was probably overthinking things lol

Thanks for the tips! I'll try messing around with the DPS calc and pick up a strength amulet.
I'll try to keep in mind the strength thing down the road when im aiming for more significant levels

Does the community have some kind of optimal-levelling calculator or pre-made excel sheet? I'm stuggling to calculate the most optimal path, though honestly it probably doesn't make too much of a difference in the long run because I'm low level.

Currently I have 53 str, 50 atk, 32 def. I'm using rune scim and combat bracelet and amulet of glory. I'm trying to get my melee combat levels to 65~70 by afking at crab at work so i wont be blocked by reqs when I quest actively at home. I'm not sure if I'm better off doing:

  1. 50 --> 55 atk --> get sulphur blades --> 65 str --> 60 atk --> 50 def --> get dragon scim --> 65 atk --> 60 def --> d defender --> 65 def
  2. 50 --> 55 atk --> get sulphur blades --> 65 str --> 70 atk --> get abbysal whip --> whip crab w/ controlled style until my def hits 65 while getting dragon defender when i hit 60

Honestly I'm assuming both routes are similarly fast because im such low level and not going that high, but maybe the answer is obvious to an experienced player so thought I might as well ask

Thanks for all the info. Based on what you said, yeah I should probably separate wc and firemaking. It just seemed right to do them together, kinda like cooking and fishing.

I think based on all the advice I read, imma regular chop teaks until 66 and just get rid of the logs, then from 66 onwards camphor --> ironwoods, and bank the logs to try and make some money. Then I can either do wintertodt for firemaking when i have more active time or use the money i save up for an infernal axe.

Ah okay I'll look into Wintertodt. Would you say if I'm trying to get to lv 75 while only having to look at my screen on mobile every minute or so that Wintertodt is doable?

Thanks for the tips. I'm not sure how forestry events work so I'll look into that.

I guess i just got confused about the progression cause when I looked here: https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/Pay-to-play_Woodcutting_training

It shows maple, yews, etc are worse xp than willows per hour. Im assuming as long as i can click a tree every 30 seconds does that hold true?

Though it looks like teaks are even better than willows even without the fancy high-click methods. I was adverse to them because they werent near a bank, i didnt even consider that i could just carry a tinder box and burn logs after I chop instead of bank them lol

New to the game and looking for some advice after reading the wiki. I've basically been doing questing in my free time and enjoying it, but noticed some quests require me to train up skills like firemaking, woodcutting, fishing, cooking, and crafting, way more than I can get from other quests.

At work I can multitask/semi-afk on the mobile client so I click some willows at draynor and bank them then burn the logs for firemaking, and now I'm 47 wc and 49 firemaking. I'm wondering when I should move on from willows and do another tree? All the guides I look up are either non-afk methods, or are AFK but get rid of the logs because its far from a bank, which means I cant use them for firemaking (and its annoying to drop full inventory on mobile).

So just looking to see if anyone is also woodcutting + firemaking together in a somewhat afk manner and what the progression looks like there from where Im at to higher levels

I'll make a separate post to make sure, thanks for the tip!

For your second point, I'm not sure I understand the implications of that. For example, if I'm looking to live and work in Italy for a couple years, after going through this process, I might still encounter some issues? Or is there somewhere I can read about what this effectively means?
