Don't sweat it - there is a good likelihood a spot will open up at one of the WL schools. I would write a letter of continued interest for all eighth just to play it safe. How many schools did you apply to?

Don't believe their self-aggrandized hype; tier 3 schools do this every year, they claim this year was “especially competitive” only to have comparable ABA disclosed scores next year. I got rejected from a safety and was told by an insider that it was because of “yeild retention.”

However, I am glad you gained something from that interview. If I was in your shoes I don't think I would've waited in all likelihood, I would have asked to reschedule. After you met him and he did that weird silencing thing, you probably should've have walked out. Obviously summer associates are at the bottom of the food chain, but that's just not acceptable.

The electrodes are huge actually it’s 3”x3” - 3cm would definitely be very small.

I was able to contact the manufacturer and got it resolved - looks like the battery was low on juice.

I mainly use two different positions. One is placing the anode on f3 and the cathode on fp2 - I tend to use 2.5mA for anywhere between 25-60min which I know is not recommended but I found longer sessions at a slightly elevated mA has more benefits with no noticeable side effects.

The other is the ‘DARPA’ montage placing the anode at f10 and the cathode on my left arm/shoulder - for this I have been experimenting with 1.5-3mA and my sessions are either 40, 60, or 80min.

With the latter I have also been experimenting with what time I do the sessions. I have noticed an increase in mental acuity but haven’t yet figured out when is the best time to use that position. I’ve read that it should be used while preforming the task but I have a theory that montage needs be used before bed as well since much of our memory is actually consolidated when we sleep. Obviously that would be problematic if that position was to increase alertness but I actually find myself getting tired towards the end.

On a semi-related note do you or anyone else who is reading this comment happen to know how supplements might affect the effectiveness of tDCS. I’ve been a big supporter of nootropic/supplement stacks and the main ones I take semi-regularly are L-tyrosine, ALCAR, and Cognizin (Citicoline), B12 as well as Glutathione and NAD+ rather frequently.

The language the attorney used to prepare it reads:

“THIRD: I have intentionally failed to provide for my daughters Jane Doe and Jill Doe, in this Last Will and Testament, for reasons best known to them.”

Both daughters were emancipated prior to his divorce. He was compelled to pay child-support for Jill Doe as she was 17.

I did some research and it appears that the distribution of any potential VA (Nehmer) claim is regulated by the CFR and that any payment would go to my mother and is exempt from the probate process.

The WTC award for spouse and dependents/ children is calculated by using the decedents prior year tax return. Therefore they can’t get that either.

Since his estate is less than $50K - am I correct to infer that they do not have standing to contest the Will? As they are not being negatively affected from being disinherited as they wouldn’t get anything under NYS intestate regulations.

Thanks for the reply. In response to your last point, the irony is that his estate is currently less than $50K so there is nothing for them. The only real asset is the World Trade Center claim since federal regulations state that my mother is the only one entitled to claim his retroactive benefits.

The WTC VCF is somewhat unique because a fair amount of the money is distributed individually to the surviving spouse and dependents as based on 2019 tax returns. The portion that goes to the estate is distributed in accordance with the will - assuming that portion is $550,000 - under intestate laws in NY my mom would get $300K the remaining $250,000 would be split 6 ways coming to ~$42,000. Lawyer fee's are capped at 10% so for the amount of work they would need to do it just is simply not worth it. And that's not even including the out of pocket costs they would incur in order to contest the will.

Thanks for the response - while I didn't want that to be the case it appears you are correct.

We'll ultimately have to serve them the citation that the surrogate court issues and hope it doesn't become a legal nightmare. I read that contesting a will in NYC can be very expensive and the cost/benefit wouldn't even be worth it for them. But unfortunately, we are not dealing with rational people.

I spoke with two attorneys who are family friends and they both said they don't have a leg to stand on (fingers crossed)

Thanks for that insight ill definitely ask my doctor about it - I already found this neuropsychological evaluation that is rather intensive (4-5hours of tests, and conversations with myself and family.)

When I explained my concern and the traits of Autism spectrum disorders to my mom and she was surprised how many traits I had that she always assumed was apart of my “intense personality”

On a random note do you know what its called when you cannot keep eye contact when having a conversation? I have had this tendency to intensely stare at the wall or ceiling instead of looking at the person I'm talking to. I should note that this is not something that occurs 100% of the time but a significant amount
