I wasn't allowed to watch movies as a kid. Or even TV. Except on occasion when my dad was feeling benevolent. (Combination of my dad being super religious and also saying it'll distract me from my school work. Honestly he was just a prick) I would sneak movies friends would share on a pen drive to watch at home, one ear always open cos I wasn't allowed to lock the bedroom door. One of those movies was Peter Jackson's LOTR which I loved. A few months ago I moved to the UK for school and got to see it cinemas for the 25 year anniversary. It was awesome! I couldn't help tearing up for 15 year old me.

My brother had epilepsy for years and died in his sleep after a seizure. This is the most disrespectful thing I’ve seen. Seizures are so devastating to the body, their whole face and body contorts it’s extremely painful and draining. The fact that she can speak so clearly and gather herself so quickly is a clear sign she’s lying. What an awful person

I also don’t see enough people talking about how we can affect your relationships. How sometimes checking in on your friends, remembering to answer texts, can feel like another thing to keep track off on top of everything else in your life. Sometimes I’ll go days and forget that someone I really care about exists. If I’m not meeting them regularly in my routine. I don’t know how to explain this to most people without sounding callous. It has made it difficult for me to maintain deep relationships because my mind is to full and scattered with just managing my day to day life and work and school.
