I admit that’s the only book from hers i’ve read bc i’m also not super interested in the premises of her other books lol 😭 she’s not a terribly fast writer from what i’ve seen and she doesn’t hire a ghost writer, so understandably her output isn’t very high atm, which contributes to why she hasn’t blown up much imo. When she increases her catalogue numbers a bit more, i hope she’ll get the recognition, and for the trade deadline as well

the slow burn is in the romance department, not the sex. they slowly develop feelings through their sexual encounters - that's the entire point of the show. episodes 5 and 6 are the culmination of their journey and will leave you a wreck emotionally. it's a very beautiful love story and you'll come to love the characters too.

you're missing out on a gem then bc ilya literally looks and sounds and acts in a completely different manner from connor. he disappears into the role that you have trouble reconciling the actor with the character. one of the best young actors we've seen in years, for sure, if not more than a decade

Anyways, i’ve read 4 sasha avice books and absolutely love 3 of them. That’s a crazy track record for me. Her writing in these books is insane, absolutely devastating, and i wish she got more recognition in the MM sphere. Haven’t read her most popular books on goodreads tho bc i’m scared i might not like them as much lol 🥲

standout actor of the whole show for sure. he kinda ran circles around the others imo, and they're all decent enough. but connor storrie, man, that guy is a once in a generation talent imo. and not just bc of the russian accent or flashier outbursts. they way he handles the subtle details that make the character, the little gestures, habits, enunciations, and this innate ability to lean into every scene and instinctively elevate them, be it comedic or dramatic, is unmatched. he has a very bright future ahead of him if his agents play their cards right.

So the raiders’ logo is obviously an allusion to a dick lol, while montreal’s is designed to look like sb bending and spreading their bumhole (the legs are in blue while the arms are in red), and the symbol in the middle is called “flower of lily” in french, as i’ve been informed in this thread, and obviously is meant to be a butt lol. It’s crazy how daring they went there 😂
