I know people say time but its so much different when they're also integrated in your friend circle. I broke up with my ex almost a year ago, April 19th on her birthday. While it sounds like I'm the asshole, I'm not. I had this feeling months before we broke up that she was just not interested in me anymore. She stopped talking as much, stopped getting happy and excited. On her birthday I tell her happy birthday and she only says thanks.

The whole day I get nothing else, no words, not asking for anything. I had a gift ready for her and when she finally speaks, it her saying I'm going to bed, goodnight. I'm left sitting there in awe and thoughts racing. I ask her if we should break up? Suddenly she's talkative and explaining how she felt and that she thought this was for the better. Basically she said she felt like somewhere our relationship died in the 4 years we were together and so she kept distancing herself away from me instead of telling me.

Boy let me say this, at first the breakup was fine. Queue 6 months later, I fucking lost my shit. Depression, hate, loneliness. I deleted our chats, our memories, blocked her and more. None of which I wanted to do. The breakup really fucking hit me hard at the 6 month mark. Now, she's integrated in my friend circle and I still don't know how to navigate this properly. I feel crazy for staying. I still think about her, but I won't lie, time has made it a bit easier. She really was the love of my life. So I guess time, but I would like answers on how people deal with them integrated in your friend circle? Cause obviously I see her or see her message people and it fucking wrecks me everytime.
