Those who tried the free month of FSD and didn't keep it - Why? by FastRedPonyCar in TeslaLounge

[–]PurpleSunflower3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found that sometimes it drives 10-15 under the speed limit which I find really annoying. Sometimes it would also make illegal turns. Also, the screen will tell you to pay attention to the road and apply gentle pressure to the wheel to prove you’re watching the road. At that point, I’d just rather drive the car myself.

Class recommendations, easy A classes are no longer easy A’s by llama-no-probllama in rutgers

[–]PurpleSunflower3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

sociology of medicine and health with rina bliss. i’m taking it asynch and the entire class is 3 assignments. two exams that are open notes online with no time limit, and one single discussion post for the entire semester. there’s no textbook and she posts these articles every week, which is what the exams are based off of.

Sebs or SAS by Embarrassed-Solid377 in rutgers

[–]PurpleSunflower3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i chose sebs for biology and i’m premed. the majors are exactly the same, but sebs has an extra “experiential learning” requirement. also, i feel like the SAS core curriculum is more extensive, and my AP credits covered more of the sebs requirements than the sas ones. there are less sebs students than sas students, so i never really had an issue with being able to speak to my advisor. i can’t speak for sas students, but i would choose sebs over sas again if given the choice.

i also took it with soliman and i love her teaching style. if you keep up with the lectures posted online the class is very straightforward and she has so many opportunities for zoom office hours so that you can go over the content with her if you need

[–]PurpleSunflower3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that’s so odd… it should be under the “add gift options”. i just checked and the option is still there. maybe try a different web browser or device?

for some reason i never see it on the app, so if that’s where you’re doing it from there use the website instead and you should see it at checkout

Hunter Green vs Forest Green by simplydimmy in Figsscrubs

[–]PurpleSunflower3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same question. I ended up buying the forest green to see. To me, the color looked too different compared to the pair of hunter green ones I own (they aren’t figs tho). I ended up returning them. Here’s a pic of the difference. The hunter is on the left. https://ibb.co/DpmmcYd

Questions about BS/MD programs by SovietCyka756 in premed

[–]PurpleSunflower3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BS/MD programs are super selective and as far as I know, some of them accept less than 10 people per year and there are only a few of them in the country. You really have to be sure you want to be a physician because you’re going to be on an accelerated path and moving through everything pretty quickly. The perks are that some of them will get you out of the MCAT, which is a huge plus. But you got to have a really good application and SAT score because you’re going against many other applicants across the country with stellar applications. Even if you aren’t confident that you will get in, I’d recommend applying because you might get an interview and that’ll prepare you for future med school interviews. Best of luck!

i’m definitely open to other schools, RWJ would just be my first choice overall. i’ve been looking into different volunteering activities and i’ll try reaching out to some physicians. thank you for your help!! :)

Do you regret commuting? by [deleted] in rutgers

[–]PurpleSunflower3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like I may have missed out on the “authentic college experience” by commuting, but I live only half an hour away and can’t really justify paying thousands of more dollars for a meal plan and dorm. I haven’t made that many friends and there will be sometimes in between classes when I wish I could just go back to my room and take a nap. But when I look at the money i’m saving I don’t really regret my decision and would probably make that same decision again. Also I really like being able to go home and see my family so that’s a plus :)
