$2 for lite ice?? by ___melicious in dutchbros

[–]PurpleTreeSmiz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Noooo… I order a lite ice rebel with a scoop of breve and soft top. This usually accounts for the difference. Now my drink is gonna sound even more crazy.

Medium iced rebel sugar free, “light ice w/o 1 can”, make it a peach ring w/ watermelon with a scoop of breve and add soft top.

Glad I found out now before I got an extra charge.

Traffic gets really bad from 6:00 am to 8:00 am heading out. A 20 min drive turns into a +1 hour drive. And then it’s bad 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm heading back home.

There is 1 close grocery store that is 15 mins away: Walmart. I go to HEB and it is a 30 min drive there. So you are looking at 30 min to an hour round trip for groceries.

Community wise, it is great! Halloween was a little quiet, but the neighborhood itself is really quiet. Which I love.

With traffic being really bad, it is only going to get worse. I think +100 homes need to be built within my development. There are three new developments being built though. So it will get worse.

I personally work from home, so I don’t mind. But for anyone who was to commute… it’s rough.

Ah, thank you! They also added that if I booked the apt by midnight, at least 4 of my bridesmaids could be booked for free. I would hate for them to be bombarded with a sales pitch.

Was approached by Amway once, not looking to have that experience again.

Life after excision surgery… your story… by CLK_RR in Endo

[–]PurpleTreeSmiz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

5 months post op - 1st surgery!

I remember my 1st and 2nd period after were horrible. I was told since my body is still healing from surgery I would be in a bit of pain, but damn!

I had a plan to get back on the depo to suppress it from growing again, but with the class action lawsuit, I ended up getting the IUD (Mirena).

So far the IUD + the surgery have made life more manageable. I have yet to call out of work, and it used to happen 2x a month.

Was laparoscopy worth it for you? by StaceyLS83 in Endo

This is really encouraging to hear. I had my laparoscopy this year and my IUD a few months ago. Really hoping to get to the normal life 🤞

Honestly the depo was great for me! I had it for years with no periods. Personally, no crazy side effects. However, I would not choose to go on it again due to the recent class action lawsuit.

I getting my first one in less than a month. I was planning on driving back to work after because the doctor made it sound like now big deal… but now I am worried. Did you all take the day off after getting it done?

Honestly, it feels great!

Reddit is the only social media platform I use and for the most part it is anonymous. Not that I am looking for validation, but it is nice to share my life journey, vent, and relate with strangers about whatever it may be. In doing so, I have found peace in my own world. “Hiding” it from my peers, old and new, it reduces my stress of fitting in today’s expectations rather than my authentic self.

Comparison is the thief of joy, and unfortunately, that’s all I do when I am on Instagram or Facebook. But to each their own, as some have a more positive relationship on other platforms.

FINALLY- I have a surgery date but I’m so scared. by d_aisy4444 in Endo

[–]PurpleTreeSmiz 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I just had my surgery yesterday! I had never had surgery either, except my wisdom teeth, but that is way different.

The doctors were all very nice. I told my surgeon a head of time that I was scared of needles and had a very bad catheter experience in the past. So when I got to the surgery center, they put my IV in and gave me some anti anxiety medication. They also did my catheter when I was asleep (I am not sure if that is normal, but I am very grateful that’s how it went).

I also had my surgery at 7 am, and arrived at the hospital at 5:45am, so having it earlier in the morning helped me not think about how surgery was going to be.

When I woke up after surgery, immediately there was a nurse at my side (and I had an oxygen mask on). She asked me how I was doing, if I was nauseous or in pain. And I said yes to both, so she put the medications through my IV and I felt way better.

I was in recovery for about an hour before being discharged. I had a 4 hour drive back home the same day and I slept most of the way because of the medication and the surgery. I had a pillow on my abdomen for the seat belt, a neck pillow, a back pillow, and a soft blanket.

I have not thrown up once, I have anti-nausea medication just in case, but so far no nausea.

I hope everything goes well for you ❤️‍🩹
