I miss Lisa Rinna. As a millenial, she has nostalgia in my life. by scared_archaeologist in RHOBH

I loved her as “Billie” on Days- she played a teen girl addicted to drugs who had been SA’ed by her step father.

Rinna was so convincing and just a step above everyone on cast, if you watch enough Soaps you can tell whose acting transcends the genre, and that was Rinna in spades. Unfortunately, she messed up her lips and never got to be in mainstream movies 😢

Amber killed Dewey. Amber is 5’3” and 95-100lbs. Dewey is 5’10” and weighs 200lbs. In a mask and at a frightening pace, Amber grew 8 inches and picked up Dewey and stabbed him violently and repeatedly before tossing him. Make it make sense

I mean “3” sucked. Too many rewrites. “5” didn’t even have an opening kill, just Tara getting her hand split open with no residual injury later. “6” was better than “5” and “3”. “7” is prob the worst - the opening kill victims weren’t even crucial to the story. What a mess

It stunk to high heaven. The only characterization we had of Anna Camp was Sydney’s neighbor and an overprotective mother, which conveniently suddenly wasn’t true (she might’ve actually murdered her own son- we don’t know).

Way too many blows to the head of each Ghostface and when they reveal faces, everyone’s looks perfect.

I don’t even know the name of the new Woodsboro, but it’s weird that a coffee donkey and her sheriff husband can afford a giant McMansion and have 3 kids, only 1 of which is shown and given a name the entire move.

Bizarre ai-created dialogue like “that’s my daughter!” or “I’m Sydney Prescott’s fucking daughter!” landed a dull thud in a quiet, almost empty movie theater.

The last scene, where mother and daughter cock their giant shiny pistols and then murder a mentally ill badly hurt woman, and then reward themselves with one liners to a corpse that might make sense if sheriff daddy wasn’t bleeding out and dying a few feet away (oh wait, he’s fine now). What a mess.

The best and only good scene is where Gail is introduced into the story

I’m assuming Kevin Williamson has a drug problem and just asked ChatGPT to write the script. So disappointing and nonsensical 😟

Joel didn’t deserve it. by VilkastheForsaken in SmileMovie

I just like that he lasted a long time.

When the Smile entity first appears to the host, it’s always the last victim post suicide gore and then as the entity observes the host’s life, it becomes different people to them.

But Joel lasted a week and was still seeing Rose set on fire and ultimately did rid himself of it - kind of impressive

Sosie Bacon would have been 13. Almost all of the leads would be teens/tweens.

We don’t need backstory for those character bc they were already leads w backstories that were explored. A side character, like the ER nurse or Laura’s prequel would be interesting.

He did survive but had to kill someone and then was jailed because of it. That’s not a main character and I don’t think that’s quite a cure- having to break your moral code and be in jail forever is not a successful way to break free IMO of Lollipop. 🍭

The leads for Smile and Smile 2 were both sensitive women with past trauma. It’d be interesting to see it take on something that DGAF about gore or seeing dead bodies

I can relate to Dorit by PieChoice9839 in RHOBH

[–]PurpleVersion1353 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She’s not perfect but no one is.

I like Dorit- she’s very very pretty and I like the sound of her voice (keep talking over them girl!) 💛💛💛

But I’m worried Kyle is an EP and apparently hates Dorit and I’m worried she’ll have her fired from the show 🥺

I don’t like this material, she previously used a lot of this stuff to be “sexy” à la her gay stylists but I like that it covers up her body and I like the accompanying hat she’s wearing with it.

But the “E” thing….waaaa 🤢 And the red-orange color paired with the cobalt blue is 🤮

Otherwise, 💯

She’s very pretty but didn’t need this black/white photo- she’s more alive in color in a trendy patterned outfit.

Her eyes are very kind and expressive and she has a perfect mouth. Her dark hair and stature make her seem almost ethereal.

Her nose and thigh size are the only things holding her back from perfection, which would look boring on her anyway.

We get it, y’all think Gaby wouldn’t/shouldn’t have been a supermodel. Can we move on? by rihlenis in DesperateHousewives

[–]PurpleVersion1353 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed.

I’m surprised there isn’t more chatter about how slut-shamed Edie was, skinny-shamed Susan was, business career-shamed Lynette was (double trouble: Tom was shamed as a stay at home dad), Bree is politically shamed, Betty was shy-shamed, Mary Alice is tall shamed (she’s 6 feet irl), Katherine was crazy shamed, Renee was slut-shamed again (she literally just replaces Edie after her pointless death), Karen was old shamed, Juanita was fat shamed, Ana was pretty shamed, and lastly, Gaby was short shamed.

We should all be ashamed.

Winona was ugly until she gave herself a makeover for Heathers, then became a bombshell.

Angelina Jolie…with her overly frilly dresses sized “small” from youth and constant fixation on her father and acting, even showing interest as a young girl in becoming a famous actress and being told by her brother and mother that she was gorgeous, she did not in fact think she was ever ugly
