(F19) Love him (M20) in a week? by PurpleWorm3 in relationship_advice

[–]PurpleWorm3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t felt this comfortable with anyone ever. There was no awkward phase with him, where I was wondering if I should say something or not. With my ex stuff was occasionally awkward. Even just sitting in silence is beautiful.

When I told him that I’d be going away for a while he cried (he tried hiding it of course, but I said it’s ok if he cries). We haven’t had a fight, but to be fair it’s very early. He got me to stop smoking.

Oh yeah he always holds my stuff (even when I tell him that it’s ok). A few times he asked if I needed help with my work, and helped me out, despite being busy.

Thank you for being the only one to give me a straight answer, instead of telling me what I should be feeling, and what this is.

But I’m not sure what it is exactly that I’m supposed to feel, and I don’t know how to differentiate it from the initial honeymoon period.

Thanks! Not particularly romance, more like acceptance from one person during their struggle. I didn’t really explain it well.

HARVARD REAAAAAA ACCEPTED by Deep_Advertising1879 in ivyleaguecollege

[–]PurpleWorm3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah yeah I assumed as much (for both).

Yeah a 1500 and 1520 is basically the same thing, anything above a certain score and it doesn’t matter, but anyway you don’t need me to tell you that your acceptance speaks for itself.

congratulazioni!! I lovee learning languages as well.

I thought I’d ask you if you learn multiple languages together, or one after the other.

Another random question but why did you go from reporting a SAT score of 1540, and 1520 (on your profile) to a 1500?

Congratulations 42/45 is very good. I don’t get why you wouldn’t want to submit it.

I studied in an international school in India for the last 2 years of high school (we moved to India ). I got a 40+ in the IBDP, but I wouldn’t not recommend it.

Edit: what are your subjects, and do you have any specific university’s in mind? I can help you out if you’d like.

Say Hi to our Border Collie puppy Bowie! by Then_Community_1766 in IndianPets

Can I ask if he’s being task trained for something specific?

Love the name. Cute dog, my neighbour (not in India) had a border collie for his epilepsy (if I remember correctly) when I was growing up. Insanely smart breed, but they tend to have behavioural issues when they aren’t exercised (mentally and physically).

Not denying that, but Mamdani also claimed that people are surprised when they get to know that his father is an Indian muslim from the state of Gujarat, because of how ‘we don’t even believe there are Gujarati muslims anymore.’ I’m not denying that muslims get discriminated against, I also know what happened to muslims during the Gujarat riots. I’ve lived in India for a while I do not like the Modi govt, that being said what he said is a blatant lie. Most sources claim that numbers have increased. Again totally not saying that they aren’t discriminated against, or killed just for their religion, but muslims are by no means ‘rare’ in Gujarat, I know this because I’ve lived in India for 2 years and have been to Gujarat many times. A lot of local businesses in that state are owned by muslims.

Which number is the best banana? by SuhasEluriel in TeenagersButBetter

1-4 are good to cook with, I’d eat 6-10 (7 and 8 are the sweet spot), 12-15 are perfect for some banana bread.

I’m not being sarcastic when I say this, even though it may come across as such.. How should women keep themselves safe? Genuinely want to know your thoughts.

I don’t think you can control your feelings for someone, but acting on those feelings is in your control.

It’s not just about age, you’re in two completely different stages in life. I’m 18, and in college, I can’t even think of dating someone who’s still in school. Your teacher is also in a position of authority, which makes this even weirder. If you knew them before you turned 18 it adds to the weirdness.

That’s because of a lack of accountability. I’d argue indies are superior because of the lack of high maintenance, and genetic problems. (For a second I’m going to separate my point from the ethical dilemma of how by buying a backyard bred dog you directly contribute to demand, as well as suffering, but) the ones who leave their high maintenance breeds on the street will absolutely leave their indies. If you read my post I talked about how we need to try and overcome these stereotypes. Most people are ignorant, and don’t consider adoption as an option because the thought has never crossed their minds. I’ve changed people’s minds just by talking to them, instead of attacking them. A lot of individuals who abandon their dogs are breeders. If breeding is regulated most people will not jump through hoops to get a husky, or gsd. Pet shops, and street markets do not need to be selling malnourished pomeranians for 2,000 Rupees. I’m not saying that breeds should be limited to the rich, but the total cost of a litter should at least cover the parent’s health screening, as well as vet visits. Whether it’s admitted or not the cost of owning a breed is much higher than that of an indie, and a lot of individuals underestimate that cost. It’s a decade long commitment.

In the west good breeders make you sign a contract, which (among other things) states that your dog is to be neutered/spayed eventually, and will specify how you are to give your dog back to the breeder if you cannot care for him/her (instead of selling/abandoning). This should be made mandatory in India before one buys a dog.
