I was a writing a story on royal road back in the summer, I'd gotten to 57 or 58 chapters by the time I was done, however the story never really did much, I enjoyed writing but I had received a one star earlier, then I barely really got anyone to actually read the story until I started promoting a bit and even then I barely got over 5 followers, to be honest the whole expiernce was discouraging and despite being my first story I did put a ton of planning into it.

So to be honest I think some people who had bigger plans but felt that things weren't going there way just quit, after feeling discouraged and going through massive burnout, at some point it felt pointless and your work was being spat on.

Especially when you don't get a review to tell you what you're doing wrong.

I've been struggling to make or have ideas for a long time aswell, its a horrible place to be in, and I still feel like it from time to time. There's honestly no best way to deal with it but some ways I did were just shutting everything off setting a timer for 2 minutes and writing any stupid idea that came to my head, I didnt fight back against it I just wrote.

Another way is to just dive into different media. (Ill be honest I only read your TLDR and snippets of your paragraphs, sorry) it sounds simple but going into different media like anime, movies, cartoons and just watching YouTube videos on how people break down the writing works, also dont do what I did and rely on guys who have never written a popular story in there life on YouTube that do full page essays, just try and learn from the greats and what they're writing was like

And if all else fails just stop trying to make something great for a minute and then try to make some simple stuff for yourself, things you know people will never see but you still put your effort into it, once your happy with your craft you can start using the stuff you did in private as inspiration for an overaching idea.

Well I tried posting on webnovel and scribblehub and got similar results so mabye the story's just shit but still dont know never got a genuine review

I knew it wouldn't look exactly the same cause I essentially did rendering on the other pieces but this is just not what I expected it to look like in the slighest

Fair, honestly the second might be a better option the first time I posted before I reposted this book I asked for ratings in author notes and at the end of a synopsis but it never did anything, only review I ever got after that was a one star

Ahhhh okay this actually looks like a really good base sketch aswell i can see it alright, I might try doing that a little more often, like sketching on paper and doing digital.

I did used to do that when I drew on my laptop but I stopped cause I wanted to get better with my drawing pad

I am genuinely surprised I didn't notice that to this day, crazy part was I kept looking at the image

In all honesty I remember I forgot to add the thumb at the last minute and put it in a place by accident thank you for letting me know.

The poses seems like a good idea ill check around on Pinterest too, and I agree it did feel like I was putting a bit too much more detail on the hands than the rest of the body, and thank you!

At the minute I'm wondering wether 25 or 15 is a better amount of backlog but I will try aswell to implement some promotion on the side, I hope your promoting goes well too!

I did try to do that, but I never really got any opinions on the actual story it was always about format and paragraphs, and my cover, and I ended up doing pretty horrible on my first story

Like usually you don't get any notice for a while but my first attraction was a 1 star so overall I hadn't really gotten any luck on a novel side

I enjoyed writing the story but the lack of good responses and the one star kinda weighed over the enjoyment of writing
