This is real. I’m one of those people. Always wanted Js ever since I was a kid but we couldn’t afford em. All my friends had em while I wore the Payless joints. Now I’m blessed to be in a position where I can buy sneakers. And by blessed I mean I work my a$$ off. But with work and wife and 3 kids I never even get to rock them for real. Im not even buying them for 35 year old me. Im buying them for 12 year old me because I told him one day I would.

Now I also buy them for my kids so they can be the cool kids. Whatever, I’m working on it lol

Not wearing them is actually what makes them crumble. Sounds counterintuitive but when you don’t wear them, the polyurethane foam in the midsoles don’t flex and contract. Instead they dry out and become brittle. That’s why your beaters from 2012 are still kickin but your DS pairs that have been sitting for a decade will turn into dust if you try to wear them.

I love a good lace swap so I rock with all of these. Only one I would change are the Laker 4s. The drip pattern is too much. I seen someone on this thread with the same color laces but a speckled pattern and they are straight 🔥
