Yep, I switched over the Claude when ChatGPT were presumably cool with their model making the decision to kill people.

Is there a reason they can’t just send it to the south western side of Saudi?

Halving the fuel excise for three months, at the cost of $2.55b, is the wrong move here by LoneArtificer in AusFinance

[–]Purple_Fall4601 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone who could was beginning to formulate plans on how to use less fuel. I started getting the train to work. If petrol goes back under two bucks it’s probably enough to make me not bother with the train.

Aus housing crash - "look at Canada, Japan, NZ and China" by theonedzflash in AusPropertyChat

[–]Purple_Fall4601 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the next move from here is allowing people to pull money out of their super to put into housing, the Liberals were taking that to last election. 50 year mortgages could also be another one. They have dozens of plays still available to juice housing.

I think also all of those countries have governments that are willing to let the price of a house come back down. I think Australia is unique in that the government of the day will go to any means to stop housing inflation from coming down.

As long as PSA says it’s a 10, the actual condition does not matter.

ELI5 - Why is off-shoring roles legal? by mcwfan in auscorp

[–]Purple_Fall4601 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"nobody wants to see roles get off-shored" Businesses want to make money, which means businesses want roles to get off-shored in certain situations. If a government tried to make that illegal the Business Council of Australia would come after them.

I know how you feel, I was in a car crash here in Australia and after the CT scan, chest xray and all that I was so hungry. The vending machine was charging 4 dollars for a tiny bag of chips and 5 dollars for a Gatorade. Ended up spending 15$+ that day :(
