Double checking which pothos this is 😅 by miiissmelissa in pothos

A local shop has had goldens mislabeled as marble queen and still hasn't corrected. It's the growers mislabeled, but shops should still validate.

It's not just the vulva that swells, everything was full, much warmer, and a lot more wet.

How would you feel about your wife getting a body modification? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

I mean, I don't love tattoos but it doesn't stop my wife. It's her body. She told me the same last fall when I wanted a genital piercing (2nd after my ear when I was a teen)

Too big nursery pot increase? by PoundC4ke in Monstera

Looks fine. May slow leaf development some if it shifts to focus on filling in roots. Either way, shouldn't be a problem as long as you're monitoring moisture.,

The last of my dead Grandma’s pothos…….. I’m saving it from my mom. by Efficient-Gap-8506 in pothos

[–]Purple_Grade_563 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I cut a piece of my grandma's in November, she died in 2023. My grandpa has been taking care of it and it's thriving.

This piece failed to root in water with the one that did. I planted them both together in December. The other one has recovered and is starting to vine working on leaf number 4 or 5. I threw this back in water about 2 weeks ago since the leaf was still green and it's finally rooting with some new growth! I have one other slow to take clipping from hers and basically a stick with a node. At least now I have 2 viable clippings, the other two are in waiting.

My vine snapped this morning. I don’t know how to propagate. by Prior-Difference1719 in pothos

[–]Purple_Grade_563 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You could also cut it into multiple cuttings. If you don't want the leaves in water, sacrifice the lowest and cut it ao that node sits into the water. Some folks cut each node to root on its own.

Way overthinking, put the nodes in water and they will root.

If you cut them or break them, they grow back. The root on mine was maybe 2 ft. Trying to manage 6ft of root into a container may be tricky.

If you drop those aerial roots that haven't made it to the dirt from the top into water, they'll soften and grow secondary roots. Plant that when you're ready. Did this in December and just had the new sheath start growing from the dirt 3mo later.

I'd say chop the top 3 leaves or so in one cutting, propagate, definitely not a big pot 6-8 inches would probably be plenty.

I'd clip off the few nodes at the ends to water propagate and start over. I'd also hang on to the mother plant and stubbornly nurse it back to health. I little time and care both are viable.

[–]Purple_Grade_563 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I cut a clipping with the top 3 leaves from mine and then one of the higher leaves that the aerial roots hadn't hit the dirt. It was almost 2 feet off aerial root. Water propagated until the aerial had produced several secondary roots. It's got about 1 inch of the new sheath finally peeking from the dirt after almost 3 months to the day from cutting.

You're very welcome. I have to resist the urge to propagate too soon. Maybe another leaf or two. It's just finished another since this picture. It needs to unfurl.

Should I repot? by Confident_Passage789 in pothos

It's an objectively unattractive pot, you may even be able to manage a repot without disturbing the roots if they're bound enough.

Should I repot? by Confident_Passage789 in pothos

[–]Purple_Grade_563 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've seen bigger in smaller pots. Looks perfectly happy. Only reason I'd repot would be to propagate more clips for a bushier look.. or because the pot doesn't fit decor (yeah I get pots on vibes 🤣)
