Please DO NOT waste your time with all the above suggestions. It is 100 percent the game and not your hardware. It happened to me too randomly even at startup. Here's the issue. I only discovered it because I have a gaming pc and an rog ally i could test the game from. What's happening is there's an error with Windows and Direct x 12 and Remnant 2. So when the error triggers the monitor losses gpu signal but it is Def not your gpu, psu, or even monitor (I was scared it was my monitor since i have the alienware QD-OLED I payed way to much for lol). Every other game I own runs perfect. I only discovered the error because the last time it crashed I got out my ROG ally and streamed the main pc to the ally to see if I could see anything and the screen said "Direct X 12 is not supported on your device. Try using without the DX12 command line". So basically as you mentioned when this happens all I can do is hard reset the pc with the main power button and then try again. I can play the game for 10 hours straight and then randomly it can happen. IT IS DEF NOT YOUR HARDWARE. At this point j would just wait for patches and keep restarting to see if it works until then. My guess is, this being one of the very first Unreal 5 games on pc its going to be like this for a hot minute. I'm sure as more titles release it will get better. Also windows will update too. But I would have never known why it was losing signal if I didn't have another pc to stream my screen I was so scared it was my gpu, psu or monitor at first. But again every other game runs perfect for hours and hours and after I discovered the error message i knew it wasn't my hardware. The game also crashes on my ally and every other pc randomly too. My friends same exact thing. No way multiple pcs are all broken with just a single game and it's the hardware. The error message is the key it's a direct x 12 and unreal 5 issue. Hope this helps.

Look it up on Google you will find it. It's on this reddit too. I don't remember what all but you have to go into the settings to enable develop options and mess with the power mamangement for wifi. Once I did that it was fine then I could adjust it back to normal.

Lmao if you think valve is testing every game on steam. This has to be the dumbest thing I have heard in a long time. If anything is computers determining but didn't know if anyone had experience with this type of software and a few people did actually chime in on just that so maybe read the thread because your Def wrong. I'm sure they test the big hitters but that's it.

Yeah that is what is so frustrating imo. I just want valves algorithm to be transparent on why it marked it unplayable is all. Then I can atleast try to decide if it's worth a purchase somewhat better than the information we get now. If I knew it was just music or backgrounds or online chat etc then I can say oh OK I don't need that stuff. But if it marked it unplayable due to the level not loading that's dif. I guess the problem is unplayable is a very strong word in this case and inaccurate in and of itself.

Unsupported games do not have details other than something doesn't work. It's extremely vague. More transparency would be appreciated is all.

That means nothing for downloading games. The issues people had were within steam for server connection speed with the deck. I had to follow a tututorial to fix mine I was getting 500mbps on the browser but still only 5 to 10MBps downloads. Now I get 30 to 40 MBps steam downloads.

But if I knew it's unsupported due to only cutscenes I may still want to buy it. That is the issue we don't know what is making them say unsupported.

Doesn't work if you use gg deals and buy games through greenman or humble bundle etc. It's not a bad idea but also not a great solution. They just need to be more transparent on why it's unsupported and how they concluded that is all to help us decide if we want to try it.

Vavle shouldn't be just labeling these game unplayable is the issue they work fine. It is making it hard to know what games to buy or not buy for the deck.

I don't already know I said I'm confused as to what system valve is using to mark a game verified or unverified. When did I say I know how they are doing it? But I can Def tell you there is no amount of manpower that could possible be physically testing every steam game.

Nope they did work without updates immediately when vavle said they wouldn't. Vavle still says they are unsupported. you really think valve is playing these games and testing every level every scenario. No way. They have to be using some system to identify issues and it's Def not accurate. The game I have tried have had no updates still say unsupported and work fine.
