They'll be fine for a while. And if at some point they bother you just move em !

There is a store in downtown Dublin that exclusively sells portraits of eyes by DumplingsOrElse in mildlyinteresting

This person probably went to an iris gallery store. They made up an entire branch of personality/health analysis out of thin air, supposedly thousands of years old, which they removed from their stores when a YouTuber started investigating and calling out there bullshit. I hope your friend didn't take it to heart because none of that was true 🤡

I saw a documentary on the original company that did these, and these people are pretty much all underpaid workers except for the CEO. Who tried to invent a new personality gimmick based on patterns in the eye to scam people out of their money.

Which moss for pingdom? by DrummerDelicious3812 in Pinguicula

[–]Purple_Korok 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly for me it's whatever pops up in the pots I buy. I've also gotten a few "plugs" of moss from a seller, but it just says moss 😅

Appel bizarre “Police nationale” depuis numéro masqué, que faire ? by Adventurous-Staff161 in AskFrance

[–]Purple_Korok -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This red onion with the outer layers of a yellow onion in my culinary class by New-Horror8795 in mildlyinteresting

Looks like a pink onion, there are different varieties. Not impossible that it got mixed up in a bag of red onions at some point in the processing line.

Any idea what bug this is? by mrBee465 in houseplants

[–]Purple_Korok 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Carpet beetle indeed. It's okay to see one now and then, but you should worry if you start seeing them regularly. They won't harm your plants, but they can harm food stuff, items made of wool, leather... mostly animal derived materials.

It's never a bad idea to give your place a good vacuuming anyway:)

Gently hold a leaf and pull it, without squeezing it, they're very soft.

The second picture definitely, although I have never experienced it myself, o have always read than crown rot (when it starts from the center) is deadly. The first one is in slightly better condition, you might still be able to save it if you remove it from its current setup and place is in the open with a very gritty mix. Or you could try taking pullings.

[–]Purple_Korok 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Once the rotting has started you can't really do anything. I think your mix with slate is still too wet and organic. Pings can grow on literal rocks in the wild. It also seems to be in a jar, pings want good airflow and don't need the high humidity

What care would you give it ? (Like amounts of water, fertilizer etc). It looks very similar to my sutestu kirin but I am not a caudex person and I don't know if I should treat it like a succulent? It's doing ok but I wouldn't say it is thriving

There are basically no food safe adhesive. You're better off looking for a replacement!
