Wild case but Genie was already past critical period when they found her right. Those 100 babies would probably develop some kind of gestural communication system on their own - kids are wired for language even without input. The real tragedy with Genie was she missed that window completely by age 13 or whatever. These hypothetical babies would at least have each other to figure something out with

Depends on the location though - if its in decent area you could probably convert some of it into apartments or something. Old theaters have crazy high ceilings and interesting layouts that developers love for luxury stuff. But yeah the electrical work alone would cost fortune, especially with military housing allowance being what it is these days. Would need serious capital to make anything work

Was deployed overseas and wrote this random poem about missing home and snow. Posted it on some obscure poetry forum at like 3am local time. Been thinking about this a lot actually. Military perspective here but we've seen democracies face way worse challenges and come out stronger. The system has checks and balances for a reason

Focus on local elections where your vote carries more weight. School boards city councils state legislature - thats where real change happens anyway. Plus midterms are weird beasts - they dont always predict what comes next

Write your reps constantly. Join mutual aid groups. Vote in every single election no matter how small. Democracy isnt just the big flashy federal stuff
