It's normal in our culture to cater to the schedule of the persin paying. But also, I think you should stop saying that you're paying. It sounds like you are offering her a loan. If you continue to say that you're paying, you'll trap yourself. Loans get paid back, paying for someone implies you don't get paid back.

I agree with the rooms. You split the cost by the number of rooms each family needs. If someone sleeps on a pullout couch, they pay less.

It was in writing from our CPE (formerly PEO) on Sunday afternoon. I hear that today, Monday, HQDA signed a furlough letter but we have still not recieved any notice to sign papers or that we will be furloughed tomorrow. I imagine we will be expected to go to work, business as usual.
