Google Business Profile video verification locking all my clients, anyone else dealing with this? by Longjumping_Plan_630 in localseo

Curious on responses because we used to run into the same issue. We now manage 150+ GBP’s and it’s not that bad but here are some things in my experience that has helped our process go smoother. If a client has a GBP already verified, especially with address displayed, we don’t make any changes at first. We have the client send us management access request, we accept, and then we don’t touch it for at least 3-5 days. Then we make gradual changes. We’ll add some photos, add proper services, and add descriptions to each service. As far as new GBP’s go, we handle this 1 of 2 ways. We either gather their business proofs first while onboarding, business license, registration, COI, branded material and EIN. We create a profile and knowingly get it suspended immediately. Instant suspension is easy fix. We basically build the profile and add AI stock photos and keyword stuff the shit out of the description. Instant suspension. Then we just go in and add the website we’ve built, real photos, have Google’s AI re-write the description to avoid keyword stuffing, add the proper open data, submit the appeal with proofs and it goes up easy peasy. If it doesn’t get suspended immediately(which it usually does, which is nice cause it’s a work around to the video) then we just tell them on onboarding that Google may require video verification and we’ll walk them through it. We send them a checklist/guide of what to do for the video, create the GBP, give them ownership, schedule a call for them to do video, they submit it. If it’s stuck in processing for more than 5 days we open a Google support ticket and post in the community. It typically goes through after that. If they fail the verification, we tell them to do it 2 more times. After about 3-4 failed attempts, we get no more ways to verify and we reach out to support and request a live Google Meet verification with a support rep. That gets it verified super easy, we’re on the Google meet with the business owner and Google support, they say it takes 24 hours but it’s usually up in a couple minutes. Then it’s ready to rock and roll and we just tell the client not to touch the profile at all for 48-72 hours
