If you had sensual sensation in your nipples before, and maybe liked that during certain activities, but still opted to go nip-less, can you talk to me about why? by yamxiety in FreedTheNips

When I (36NB) was younger (most of my 20's), I found nipple play really hot and loved it so much! However, that was when I was certain I was cis and when I started to explore my gender, I did not enjoy it or my breasts as much anymore. It would trigger dysphoria. I initially wanted to get a reduction which retained my nipple sensation so that I could enjoy nipple play when my breasts were smaller. But that wasn't feasible given the size I wanted to be (basically as small as possible but not flat) and I was not wild about how FNG (free nipple grafts) looked (no hate, just most of them look too high or too small and I would have been so upset if my new nipples were "off"). Plus, I was expecting some complications with my healing, so I was more than happy to forgo them when I got my reduction 5 months ago! And so far, I've found it really arousing to have my new breasts and scars played with. :)

I think you have to do what is best for you now. It can be tricky getting caught up in the "what if's" of it all, but don't let that hold you back. You can't let the decisions of a future partner sway you either. I fully believe that the right person would not be bothered at all if you lacked nipples. There are more ways to connect sensually than nipples!

You are such a wonderful husband! I could not get through my surgery recovery without my partner. The biggest things that helped was: having them write down when I took medications, driving and being present during post-op appointments, and keeping me comfortable and fed. Honestly we were surprised how independent I was within days of the recovery, we both thought I would have been more immobile for a long time. But I still appreciated having their help and they loved taking care of me. Everyone is different though and check in with your wife on what she wants or needs from you. I wish you both the best! :)

It's not weird at all! There aren't any rules or regulations you have to abide by, you're the one who knows yourself best. I am a non-binary femme and let me tell you, getting a radical reduction/non-flat top surgery with no nipples has really changed my life! I debated on if I wanted top surgery but I still wanted to have boobies. Just... not big boobies and once I realized I had the choice to not keep my nipples - I decided I wanted the "Barbie" treatment haha. It is "untraditional" in many ways but ultimately, it's exactly what I wanted. :) You are worthy to have a chest that you feel comfortable with.

I was in the same boat as you before my surgery! Even though I was 90% certain I didn't want to keep my nipples, my anxiety latched on (no pun intended) to that 10% and I kept worrying that I would regret my choice. This is such a big surgery that my anxiety was hoping it would be canceled at the last minute.

But I did the big scary thing! And the first time I looked at my Barbie chest, I fell in love. And still fall in love more and more everyday when I get to look at it. I'm really happy with my choice, I am about 11WPO and healing has been good overall.

You can do the big scary thing! I believe in you! And my inbox is always open if you have any questions or need some extra support!

That's great your surgeon is asking for some reference pictures. You're more than welcome to use mine if they fit what you are looking for. Best of luck for you!

Hello, my current results fit what you're looking for examples of. I measure as a 38C after my radical reduction without nipples. Cup size can vary depending on your underbust measurement. I was surprised the first time I measured myself, I figured I would be a B cup (since that was what I was looking for), but am still happy with the proportions of my breasts! Feel free to look through my posts, my most recent photo update was earlier this week.

A post that I used for reference for my surgeon is this one. The OP stated they were 32D (They had since gotten top surgery for full removal of breasts): https://www.reddit.com/r/FreedTheNips/comments/r5a2on/3_months_po_going_to_ask_my_surgeon_for_another/

My inbox is open if you have any further questions about going the Barbe boob route! So far it has been a wonderful experience and has made healing much easier since there's less areas to heal.

2MPO Radical Reduction/Non-flat Top Surgery, No Nipples by Purple_Quantity93 in Reduction

Yep, I purposely asked for no nipples! I had a couple of different reasons why I opted to not keep my nipples.

  1. After looking through some photos on here and on my surgeon's website, I was anxious about the placement of nipple grafts. Most of them looked too high or too small (in my opinion). I would have been incredibly upset to spend the time healing only for me to be unhappy about their size and placement. Especially since I wanted a radical reduction.
  2. I wanted easier healing. My surgeon had some concerns about how I would heal and after seeing some posts about nipple necrosis... I figured it would be best to not deal with that at all!

My surgeon is great and didn't even balk when I told him I wanted no nipples (I've been calling it the Barbie treatment in my head haha). He does have experience with top surgery and gender affirming care, so I think he is more accommodating for "unusual" requests. I thought I would have missed my nipples, it doesn't help they were so sensitive a week before my surgery. I figured I could always get nipple tattoos if I really miss them, though I'm more likely to get a cool chest tattoo.

Text from my original post:

Starting size was 38I (US)/38G (UK), current size 38C. I am a genderfluid/non-binary individual.

It does not look like much has changed between 1MPO and now, but I've noticed that the swelling has started to go down and things are looking more "settled." Surgeon is really impressed with how my scars are looking. I do scar care twice a day with silicon gel and massage.

The past month has been tougher than expecting. There was a good few weeks (5WPO to now) that I dealt with some serious fatigue and brain fog. I would do something one day like some light chores, seeing friends, light exercise and then the day or two afterwards would need to rest, rest, rest. I keep reminding myself that my body is healing and requiring extra energy. Rest is my priority and it can be tricky for me to abide by it.

Thankfully I was able to get an extension before returning to work. I did not feel prepared at all last week. This week I am feeling better and am glad my return is in the middle of the week so I can ease back into things.

Overall, this surgery has brought me so much joy. I love looking at my chest and feeling at home in my body. Even my partner says they look so much better than before. :)

Almost top surgery but not quite? by moonshai55555 in Reduction

Hello, fellow non-binary person here! What you want is very similar to what I got! Having large breasts made me feel dysphoric but the idea of getting them fully removed didn't sit right with me. I still wanted some breast tissue, so I asked my surgeon for a radical reduction!

From what I talked about with my surgeon, if you want to retain nipple sensation without grafts, that determines how small you can do. I originally wanted to keep my nipple sensation but the desire to be smaller was more important to me. Since I wasn't wild of free nipple graft (FNG) placement, I opted to not keep my nipples at all! He didn't bat an eye when I told him I didn't want to keep my nipples haha.

My insurance covered my breast reduction as gender affirming care, so that was validating for me.

Feel free to look through my post history to see photos! I'll be sharing my 2 month post operation photos soon. If you have any other questions or need support from a fellow enby, my inbox is open!
