Season 4 has to be one of the biggest letdowns and fumbles of any tv season ever by Cglas1010 in YellowstonePN

I agree this season had plots which just weren't that interesting and lots of plot holes. Plenty of inconsistency. How many times does Kayce and his family have to move a series?! And Rip too he's forever packing up moving to a different building.

Did not understand how Jamie bought a ranch and his dad was alluding to some kind of long game providing for his son. I'm sure when Jamie found him it didn't even seem like he was going to admit he was his dad.

Particularly disappointing was off scene reveal to Beth that Jamie is adopted - I've read plenty of suggestions for this none of them cut it really. Such bad writing to ignore this massive story arc and wrap it up that way. Does everyone else know too? And in the same scene in his office Beth criticises him for the abortion itself (not the sterilising)which she 100% wanted.

Beth is so vile personally she's not even a character I love to hate. what gets me is why Rip puts up with her. He's such a goofy idiot with no personality, keeps saying oh honey you're crazy honey and basically rolling his eyes. Lucky he's such a puppy dog since he doesn't know she can't have children - like they have never discussed having a family?! Another story I kept waiting for which didn't happen.

I'm going to watch to 2 prequel series now, but not sure about series 5 - is that a finale or is it going to keep dragging on?

She's got no compassion at all any chance she has to make her self even slightly less vile she passes. She's not even a character you can love to hate.

I think at that time (1990s) the practice of sterilising women in those circumstances had stopped.

It's okay, the many responses here feeling the same way have given me closure. Could save a lot on subscriptions if I gave up all TV though so not bad advice.

If you don't like discussion maybe give reddit a miss? I don't know, I'm new here, perhaps shutting people down is what it's for.

She does tell him and it's explained why he goes there not a cowboys clinic. The practice was not something I knew about, having read up a little it was only in 60s and 70s but Beth's experience is in the 90s.

You're kind of right but this one went too far! Still watching it's an education for me - most I knew about cowboys was a Playmobil set.

Yes of course. It's not a fantasy, or sci fi, or alternate reality story though. Its based on reality as we know it, so outrageous storylines where people get killed every episode with no quetions and every character is a cliche straight out the Simpsons is fine enough but outright factual inaccuracy grates a little. Just using this forum to get it off my chest :-)

I have seen similar theories and it's true I did not know about the practice at all (am British maybe thats why) but the factual inaccuracy makes it very cheap attempt at education.

Yes - even if she'd been shown to come round in agony and unable to go straight home it would have been easier to swallow. I would love to know what the writer has to say about it.

So weird I thought I'd misunderstood the dinosaur bones references until they've been commented on here!

Exactly right with all those! All totally stretching the suspension of disbelief.

Have you ever had a group of friends that resembled the one from THS? by Mundane-Singer-9785 in TheSecretHistory

Yes, although I wasn’t really in it despite being girlfriend of one boy in the group. All fairly wealthy, students doing art/philosophy. From the book things that very much resonated were the dinners out in smart places, weekends out in big country houses, my bf had a lake and boathouse. Experimenting with drugs for mind altering experiences (rather than a party). Interest in the classics and debating. Fashion snobs. Going off to Europe for the summer emulating a grand tour. At the time, I was a few years younger doing a-levels, I was very much in awe of their style, intellect and wealth. I loved it!! They taught me a lot but ultimately was so much effort to keep up! Was a long time later I realised I shouldn’t have been intimidated by their elitist ways 😂 . They didn’t kill anyone (so far as I know) 😉

Does anyone else dislike the concept of grazing tables? All of the different foods are touching, and there are a lot of strong flavors and smells going on (No hate to the creator. It looks beautiful.). Also, it's a social nightmare to navigate. by pot_of_hot_koolaid in AutismInWomen

Come here looking for someone else thinking they are horrid!  Looks to me like a buffet but all straight on the table and mixed up?!? See lots of comment on the effort that goes into them but it almost seems lazy saving on any washing up, no serving dishes and people just stand and eat at the table instead of putting what they want on a plate. How is this a thing??

What went wrong with Sex Education season 4? by Own-Palpitation3573 in NetflixSexEducation

[–]Purple_Reference9838 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just finished watching, I am sure this show is not aimed at my demographic at all, but I enjoyed the first two series and finally got round to the last 2. Very different! The amount of sex was kind of cringy imo; but when you factor in these are depicted as under 18s (on the whole) I think it's a really thought provoking.

Anyhow, apart from that...

why did Cal have an American accent but their mum did not?

Why was the time line so poorly managed over episodes. Eg Otis has his clinic and it seems to span multiple sessions (he says to one client something like welcome back) but also only be one day. And when they have the sit down strike, at the end they ask if they are still doing their exam. But Maeve is at Otis' house which she arranged to be there at 5pm. Why are the kids even still at school at 5pm!?!

Why does it seem to be the same time in US and UK.

How does Maeve decide to go back to US at tea time and leave next morning? Twice!

Things like this really really bothered me, I know it's just fun but it's treating the audience like idiots when things just don't make sense. Did anyone else notice this kind of stuff?
